An amazing idea, mixing genuinely funny visual novel gameplay and writing with soothing (mostly) massages. One note: YOU NEED A CONTROLLER for the full experience. It's not used for controlling the game, only for its rumble.
The game could use a little more polish, it seems to not have an HD look on the Linger app, and the game still uses the Gamemaker logo for the tray icon, but otherwise I highly recommend the game.

Tattletail is basically what you get when you cross Five Nights at Freddy’s theming, Slender’s gameplay, and an 80s VHS aesthetic with complete and utter tedium.

Considering this review is getting voted down, I'm pretty curious what people enjoyed about the game. Let's forget the annoying characters, the only mechanics in the game are fetch this, avoid Mama, and keep Tattletail fed, brushed, and charged. The problem is, none of these are fun. Mama is annoying and extremely easy to avoid as long as RNG doesn't decide to screw you over, the fetch quests are very repetetive, and the survival mechanic is basically nothing but a chore. It never killed me, it only made me stop and walk around getting them filled up, bored out of my mind.

Unplayable. I've unplugged every damn peripheral on my PC except the mouse and keyboard and it still detects a controller and it has an issue where either the character forever runs left or the upgrade menus permanently cycle.

This is the greatest and most unique experience in gaming I've had since Skyrim. I'm serious, I though I'd become too desensitized to games to feel this strongly about MGSV, but it's really so damn good. Its story and theming is the perfect blend of dead seriousness and complete silliness. Buy the Definitive Edition, as it's about the same price and play Ground Zeros first, then play this. Also, it's best if you do it blind, moreso than most games. Trust me, I've played for 14.6 hours, and I've barely even scratched the surface.

There are many things you could buy for $20 that are signifigantly better overall experiences, however, this mission is pretty great and a valuable prologue to Phantom Pain. I can ONLY recommend you get it as part of the Definitive edition bundle, as it comes packaged with Phantom Pain and all the DLC, AND it's the same price as Phantom Pain, so there's literally no reason not to buy it that way.

This program causes great instability in my system, resulting in it being signifigantly slower overall, and it also causes programs to crash. The first time I used it, I had to boot in safe mode and entirely wipe away all my drivers and the program in order to fix the problems it caused. Figured I'd try it once more, maybe it was a bad update, but no, it's just not that good. Perhaps it works for some, but my EVGA Geforce 980, nor my processor, can't seem to handle it.

Gotta love the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mom who comes in and yells at you to start studying right after you spent every single bit of time you have in the beginning of the game to study. I HAVE TO SLEEP MOM.
Anyhow, really needs polish.

Ah yes, nothing like getting 4 events all at once, each with a dice requirement over 20, 2 with void void quantities that remove all dice from 3-5 and them doing enough hull damage to lower your ship's hull by half (it starts really low to begin with by the way). Really balanced.
