Its like a mount and blade modern mod, but the guns actually work.

basically ghetto men of war.

Initially, i was very critical of call to arms, it was a big, buggy unfinished mess when i first played it. Plagued with lag and bad netcode. Having modded assault squad 2 for the better part of two years i wasn't very impressed, that's not even talking about the different editions this game has which i personally think are very overpriced at the moment.

However coming back after a long break i can safely say that the devs have made this game a well polished Gem (get it, gem engine) and a good competitive RTS. the gameplay feels nice, the vehicles smooth and the graphics are very good. They even messaged me on Moddb to take a survey on adding new features, they genuinely think about what the community wants, for the most part (No one i know wanted lootboxes or badges).

in conclusion, very good game 7/10 purely for the fact that to actually play the game to its fullest you have to pay $60
