I have to write a review for this game, even if it's typically “unreviewable” again!
But I will go into a little more detail! :)

The special thing about this pinball game is that it runs in an ingenious combination with RPG elements, where you have a character, like in Diablo or Path of Exile (much less complex, of course, but that's totally fine!), and equip it with armor pieces. You get these during the game when you complete quests (of which these are triggered by triggering), or by leveling up. (Yes, you also have levels(*) that increase with XPs). In addition, you can also get different keys (bronze, silver and gold), which will take you to another pinball table ingame, where if you complete the given quests (always the same as the respective “key level”), you will also be rewarded with different items.

Another aspect of this game is that you even have HP (Health Points) and you can lose them when you play against “opponents” in the game. However, you can replenish them with Heal Potions, which you can get in the game through quests, leveling, etc. There is also a “heal pool” in the pinball table that regenerates your HP.

(*) There is another aspect that goes hand in hand with the Diablo style. Namely, every time you level up, you get skill points that you can give to your various skills to become even “better”. Just as an example, there is the skill “Luck”, which increases your chances that your ball will fall out (significantly) less on both sides in the game. And many other skills are or can become interesting later on.

Oh yes, one more thing while we're on the subject of “Pinball x RPG”. There is also a merchant in the game where you can buy boxes of various values, which can contain items such as armor parts for your character, keys for the aforementioned extra quests on another pinball table, artifacts(***), XP boosts (1000 XP etc.).

(***) There are also artifacts in the game. But honestly, I'll have to find out for myself what they bring to your character or the game itself ;-)


Now my brief personal opinion so far:
I am VERY impressed with this pinball game with the RPG combo and find this one quite refreshing as well. Too bad it's a “one-off” on Steam. But I'm enjoying every second of this game and will continue to do everything I can to unlock all 15 Steam Achievements at the end! Great game, devs! :-)


By the way, the game is still on sale for a few hours for less than 2 Euros!

Great first impressions. Wanna more!
But maybe ... also FULLY in German because .. it's a German developed game?!
But most important there must be a "cake" again, ok? ;-)

1) You love First-Person perspective games
2) You love Indiana Jones from the childhood and its great movies!
3) You love "adventures" in every way!

All three facts are approved for me! :)

I don't regret spending 100 euros on it.
And ... I don't care about all the whiners out there! ;-)

Oh, I think this game is my GOTY in 2024 so far!

Really enjoyed the short demo!

Somehow I find it difficult to write a suitable review of this game. On the one hand, I have to say that the gameplay is “just boring”. It's hard to put it like that. But that's how it seemed to me almost all the time. I also had the feeling from time to time that the developers had added “segments” to the game in order to “extend” the game. Because sometimes I was a bit confused as to why this scene had to be played. So the air was out of it for me relatively quickly - unfortunately. Because the game certainly had potential. I don't want to talk the game down, but the game itself has an important message if you are very concerned with “cats vs. humans”. But I would just like to warn you that you should NEVER compare the game with Stray, because they are simply too different for that. Maybe that was my problem with Copycat too. Maybe I wanted to “feel Stray” a bit and then I was clearly disappointed.

I'll still give the game a fair thumbs up though, because at least I got to chase a beautiful butterfly as a cat (in vain) and then the cute thing sat on my nose - lovely! At least it was something I really enjoyed in the game! :)

I wish everyone else lots of fun with Copycat!

This fast-paced first-person hack & slay game proves that you can still impress with old graphics in gameplay. It has everything you would expect from a boomer shooter. Lots of gore, lots of secrets (if you're really looking for them), beautiful pixel graphics and nice hardcore elements such as no saving possible within a level and a challenging level of difficulty. And the groovy music makes you want to shred even more enemies!

I'm very curious to see how all three acts will play and whether I can find or unlock all the golden eagles to get certain rewards.

For an indie game, this game definitely deserves a thumbs up!

+ A great float system for items to make them unique!

It's just a simple clicker game to get nice items from time to time while running the game! That's it and that's ok for me! :)
