Game is an example of what's wrong with open-source consumer products. It has a lack of polish and a good taste of balance.

Don't get me wrong: the first region looks like a slightly uglier version of Mario, which is still great in all terms. Even having frustrating moments: it's fun, interesting, and catching the correct feeling. Despite minor graphics issues such as borders of objects (and thought it could be fixed in lower resolution + integer scaling) as such as a cardiogram-like frame rate graph - it's fluid with VRR and works well enough to take your attention. The boss of the snowy area is the essence of this. It's simple, yet has just one stage and one mechanic to complete. But it's workable. You are likely to say it was too boring or frustratingly hard. The whole zone is the complete game with its flaws and moments.

But forest zone! Boy, oh, boy. It will consume you. From the beginning of this, it's harmless and even shiny. Introducing new mechanics and simplifying encounters enough to make you understand new rules. And then it started to be ugly.

There is no bad thing to add physics as well as small platforms with enemies. The first one should be solvable fast enough to save pacing and the second might be simple and catchy moments where you have a feeling of skill and a sense of power (even if it is rigged to be).

But here you have puzzles with more than five boxes which should be placed correctly and could be out of the grid (so that between cells), and the row of small platforms with enemies in there where you should jump to the corner of the platform and there to the enemy not fun and yet not even skillful. You have to remember all places as this and all jump lengths to complete. It is the same time boring and frustrating. And above this unbalanced checkpoints with two NEW problems in the row between and pixel-perfect jumping puzzles. It's too steep a difficulty curve without a reward in the end. The memorization pattern is not fun gameplay. Improvisation and unexpected are part of it.

I didn't complete the game. Bouncy Coils was the last level I've tried.

Developers, you should have balance this better. I know that open-source guys are always against trackers, but makes it optional and take a heatmap of deaths. Try to understand what issues you have and fix them. Right now it looks like you don't understand what makes this game fun and why. And that is a shame.

And do not watch to the record time: I have opened the game and left my laptop closed for a weekend.

It might be looking as roguelite action but truthfully it's one of the best bloody mess for caffeine Korean student junkies who are already too old to play StarCraft on the professional scene.

You see F-16. Tried to lock, but suddenly ECM came up and you lost him. Little spike on you. Nevermind, I will find him and lead a missile. There he is. Shot. Missile away. Have to lead him till splash. He started evasion. Still leading. AMRAAM 120 hit on me. Plane almost destroyed.
Every time.

But except obvious problem with passive-head missile this module is cheap and give you a good campaign with smooth difficulty curve. You can try it. But please, do not think it can handle Ground attack mission. Almost every other plane is better in this terms.
