A better alternative to Payday 3. At least at the moment.

Dragon Age Origins 2

Haven't finished the entire game yet, and the first level's performance is pretty atrocious BUT, pretty much everything that SS4 did, this game does it infinitely better than SS4 ever did.

The environments feel dynamic, there are dynamic skyboxes (OMG), there are breakables once again... levels are much longer, but the pacing is also vastly improved, so you never feel like anything drags on for too long.

Sidequests have great rewards, secrets are much more creative this time around. Character models don't look like they came from horror movies, and cutscenes feel much more nuanced and less forced.

It's shorter overall (since there are only 5 levels), but it also costs less and is much, much more polished.

Performance, as I've written above, was pretty bad on the first level of the game, at least for me. The levels after that however played much more smoothly.

I'm currently on the third level, trying to explore maps and do all side-quests that I can, and I've clocked in about 4.2 hours I'd say. So I'd imagine the whole game will probably be 10-12 hours long on the first casual playthrough.

All in all, this is what SS4 should've been.

Worth it... on discount.
