Puzzles after puzzles after puzzles that keep getting nerdier the more you play.

You like puzzles, you buy game. You no like puzzles, you no buy game. Simple as that.

This game is more of an art piece or a tech demo than a game. The environments and sound design are beautiful, and the repeating nature of the world combined with gravity manipulation is a cool and interesting mechanic. For these alone, it would hurt too much to give this game the thumbs down.

However, the game is very short and the puzzles it offers are not very challenging. Most of the puzzles don't require much thinking at all, and end up feeling more like chores rather than puzzles: You are mostly just wandering around the repeating world, encountering cubes, and placing them into locks that open doors.

The game gradually introduces a few different puzzle mechanics, but it doesn't really explore them enough; they just kind of pop up here and there. The mechanics themselves are interesting, but I would have loved to see a more distinct separation of them into the different levels, where they could then have been expanded upon further. The levels overall lacked a clear sense of identity and cohesion; for example, I'm not able to tell you what the green level, or any other level for that matter, was about even though I just finished the game.

Because of these the price of 20 bucks feels a bit steep. You should think of it as like an entrance fee into this mind-bending audiovisual amusement park ride that will entertain you for a few hours. However, if you're mainly seeking interesting puzzles, you're not going to find too many of them here.

If I could pick one game to forget and play again, this would be it.

Cool little metroidvania that shouldn't disappoint the fans of the genre. Even though the game is short, the story, characters, mechanics and graphics are unique enough to make this well worth the price.
