The game as we know it today is not the same as it was when i first watched streamers play it on release and then myself play it in 2018. The theme of the game is no longer unique and everything just seems watered down. On top of the theme of the game being non existent the progression is not worth it at all. You get the option to presteige characters up top level 100 with no special rewards or nothing to show for your hard work because of "FOMO" yet the same devs add limited time skins to the store without a 2nd thought at all. The player base for both the survivor side and killer side is extremely toxic and if you play a specific way and dont play by their made up rule book you will get threatened and harassed to no end even outside of the game sometimes in extreme cases. If i was writing this review between 2016-2019 timeframe i would have nothing but good things to say about it but with how much of a trainwreck this game is i cant reccomend it. The last good piece of content i enjoyed was the release of the "unknown", but for everything the devs do right they do 10 things wrong and break someting even more.

Update as of September 9 2024 there are more devs and its fun still
