The First person shooting still holds up. The skill point system is still one of the best mechanics introduced in FPS genre. The humour can make you chuckle but most of the time is cringe

I was a bit afraid regarding this Remake as the original set the bar so high it was nigh impossible to reach that point. Not only does this remake reaches that point, it far supercedes it

Kudos to Capcom for such an incredible release that too in such a polished state

It mostly retains all the elements from the original and then adds on top of it

I had this game on ps4 and was in the middle of playing it when I had to sell my Ps4 for my sister's college. I always thought about coming back to the game once I get a PS5

But now that it's on PC, I'm going to finish the game as I always wanted to. I wish the local pricing was fair for a 5 year old game but I'm still happy Persona 5 Royal is finally on pc

As for the quality of port is concerned, its a fantastic port and I've encountered no issues whatsoever

I tried this game on gamepass and decided to buy it from steam, It took me 32 hours to do the main quest and major side quest entirely solo. i played through only trickster and have no plans to visit to other cIasses due to lack of time. I haven't touched endgame expeditions beyond first 2 because matchmaking isn't working. Here are the things I liked and disliked {mind you this coming from a player who solo the entire game so that's that}

LIKED

1 Story is better than most looter shooter
2 Side quest are decent and engaging
3 Loot is meaningful and build variety is amazing
4 Power fantasy is on full swing no holds barred
5 Loot chase
6 Various biome
7 Some boss fights are exciting
8 Main quest missions are chunky
9 Some side quest have phenomenal story
10 Legendary gears are seriously amazing and mod system is incredible
11 Crafting is really amazing
12 Tansmog is pretty cool and the most liberating i've seen yet
13 Performance is mostly stable as of the time of writing and i did't encounter many major bugs
14 Worth the price
15 Character Customisation though not extensive, allows you to change your looks any time you like
16 decent enemy variety
17 Enemy AI is decent
18 Graphics though not top of the line are still beautiful
19 The hub and spoke world design is good
20 Third Person shooting feels very nice


THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE
1 The game is clearly not designed for solo players (yeah i know)
2 Game punishes death massively
3 Progressing world tiers solo is nightmare
4 There's a spiral of "You cant good loot because you aren't playing higher tier content and you cant play higher tier content because you don't have good loot" for solo players
5 Crafting is expensive at the beginning
6 90% of the main campaign you'll be playing with trash tier blue loot because at lower world tier you hardly get any decent loot. And if you die, say bye to massive chunk of progress you made over hours
7 Dodge is mostly useless as enemy have automatic lock on you and your movement skills past anomaly powers dont matter. Its not even about I-frames or the lack thereof, everything about doge feels bad
8 Possibly the absolute worst world map I've ever seen in a video game. You can't locate your position on the map, you cant put markers on the map, map icon almost always points in wrong direction. It absolute embarrassing just how bad the world map is
9 Matchmaking does not work, so if you dont have friends, endgame is off he limits as wells as the higher world tiers and hence legendary loot by default
10 Lack of Source of dedicated loot

Overall a decent game and worth your time and money though a bit less due to not being geared towards solo players and with playerbase shrinking and matchmaking suffering from because of it, your milage may vary

It amazes me just how well this game holds up even to this day. The combat, enemy variety, puzzles, environment, story, characters, voice acting, exploration and boss fights are all top notch. I played the game long ago on my ps3 and this game is just as good as it was back then, maybe even better
