So apparently you can use WASD and directional arrows to navigate menus, then use SPACEBAR to select your choice (which is not good imo) but apparently the dialogue wheel works with ENTER instead... just wow.

I'll reserve judgement for now, but not a good start.

Cannot pause custscenes, alt tabbing makes your cursor stay on screen and forces you to ALT ENTER to re-enter fullscreen... what a mess...

Taking from a direct quote from the game: "Discovering an alien artifact felt so... alien..."
Wow? This is it? This is the writing that Mass Effect has come to?
There's no direction, camera poses in dialogues are random, facial expressions and voice acting are totally inexpressive, it's just nowhere near the old trilogy.

I just noticed there are no evil dialogues, like almost never, why would you remove a core element of the whole series like paragon/renegade???

Also the EA launcher is just bad, awful, horrible... you can't even turn off the auto cloud upload, sometimes you have problems with it and i just very much cannot stand it.

Combat and movement are sluggish, inferior in many ways to the 2 previous titles.
I can definitely appreciate the dialogues, but the facial expression and models are just bad, even with raytracing and all the game looks passable, nvidia filters fortunately come in handy to fix that.
Just no, the game doomed the series between the epic controversy and the objective low quality of the game.
Even the section in the first 20mins feels absolutely written awfully, and comes from a novel too!
Then i was frustrated when you literally have to throw an object in front of an enemy to distract them, or how comically high the game tries to railroad you towards the very obvious generator with green lights.
The game is a mess, i'll play it because it's still a beloved series in my heart, but wouldn't give it the same love and care as the other titles.
The movement is so bad that there's such a big inertia and low attrition in some points that you literally fall to your death because of it.
A few guns literally have their laser pointers NOT parallel to the gun... jesus this is embarassing,

So... there's a boss fight, or well you face the same boss twice, and it's invincible.
I could have understood the first time, you're just not meant to take it down, but at the second encounter you take it down purely by luck??? It just doesn't make sense.

Also like in previous instalments you have a sort of karma system, but there's no punishment for killing (my mistake, thought they were hostiles) villagers in the first area, now in another area much later i get punished with a companion death? Not cool.

Two Generals DLC:
Bad, like even spelling mistakes in the transcript, the core idea of fuel wasn't bad but the exploration is slow as hell.
Had a dialogue even cutoff early, after the general meeting and the first requisition you witness outside the office, the whole DLC is a rushed cashgrab.

TLDR: Enging good, but game bad.

17h:
A few tough battles and moderately unfair at times, inability to make a collective surprise sneak attack, generally feels like cheating to use so many healing potions like candies.
All in all 10/10 so far.

28h:
Characters that are not moving to disarm a trap should STAY STILL and NOT TRIGGER IT while the character that has been ordered to is moving to disarm it.

37h:
Each single quest is essentially a one-shot equivalent in terms of content, which means that "oh, let me do this quest real quick" doesn't apply to this game, but still pleasurably surprised.

59h:
Game NEEDS a free action to use a normal action as bonus action, so i can bonus disengage and jump.

61h:
If one of your party mates has a light source and you venture forth you get cursed in the cursed valley due to no lightsource, if you're a mage you cannot dual wield a staff and a torch, or even easier have at will lightsource via dancing lights centered upon you... this one needs addressing...

68h:
Winning an encounter with people still downed should keep you in turn based mode until you revive all the companions OR auto-stabilize them by default.

96h:
You should be able to dual wield shield and one handed crossbows, also the faith leap trial is absolutely broken and bugged as hell, even without jumping/flying there is no way to precise move on the invisible platforms,

102:
Every single location loading should trigger an autosave, always, no exception.

113h:
Apparently bartering for items that have 0 value like goodberries (when buying them) is impossible without putting something on the platter, but still good to know there are chances vendors have them.

126h:
Summoned creatures that get stuck should just automatically teleport to your location after a certain distance instead of being forever stuck until players have to lead them back.

144h:
Lockpicking while invisible (in my case through a potion) SHOULD NOT interrupt invisibility since it is NOT a hostile action. I get it that this isn't D&D 5.0, but this is just not right.

160h:
Ramazith's Tower NEEDS a better way to climb up to the top floor different from jumping because it's perfectly possible to get stuck in there if you don't have enough strength or you don't have fly/misty step.

196h:
You could very much waste 20 mins trying to kill one last enemy getting away with shroud self because only NPCs have "detect presence" and you don't, and even if you can see invisibility you might just continue to fail the check, and AOE obviously has chances to miss so it is very likely that you'll get into a cat & mouse game even when you are 20vs1 and sure as hell your VIP risks dying because you cannot prevent them being damage even if you literally form a human shield arouns them... just give detect presence to everyone as bonus action...

215h:
First playthrough completed as fully completationist, and still missed a few things, time for round 2.

This game is much anticipated and quite well developed, definitely worth all the attention it's getting.
Still needs online multiplayer though.

Disturbing and wouldn't recommend if you have arachnophobia.

A solid game, mechanics are polished and well varied, humor and story are valid.
Could have used a sniper rifle as a weapon, but no major complaints
80/100

Really aged badly, mechanics are unpolished.

Problem: "oh noes, there's a quarantine"
Solution: taking a nap outdoors while it's raining and waiting it out

What the hell?

Got it for free, still feel robbed about it tbh.

You can disable motion blur, but apparently sprinting still has it.
The first level (prologue) was on a sinking ship with constant sea motion and it kinda gave me motion sickness, so off to a great start, really.
Controls are clunky, swapping weapons is a mess, you find plenty of junk weapons that have no purpose and just take space in your inventory... i suppose there are mechanics later on, but it's so annoying that even a serial hoarder like me was pissed at it.

Don't buy it, there's so much better stuff as a better investment of your time, like staring at paint drying.

This game has a story, mechanically it's awful, the controls are majorly bad...
And yet this game has a soul.

Recommended if you can stomach awful controls and you want to listen to the tale of a soldier that walks the line.
