I picked this game up during the summer of 2023, I've had it in my library for years before that, but never decided to get into playing it until then.

Even though I only played it at the time for about 1-2 months, I racked up around 250 hours in the game, playing it consecutively for up to 10 hours a day for weeks on end. It's very addicting when you first get a grasp on its many nuanced and sometimes a little over the top complexity. Definitely makes the cut one of the best grand strategy games of all time.

Incredible game, good take on the whole "extraction shooter genre", except there's no shooting, only D&D classes and high fantasy elements!

It's a pretty creative take on the whole "you play a god" trope, where you literally shape your followers to how you want them to be. The magic is all-encompassing and some of it lets you shape the world and influence it with passive effects. It keeps getting free updates alongside the DLCs that drop, so I strongly recommend it if you're a fan of 4X or strategy titles!

Previously horrible DLC policy, but they turned it around. Incredible game, any of the previous DLC from the two prior games works with this game, which I think is a pretty novel concept (and also rewards the people who played the first two games). Additionally, you don't need the two prior games - but can buy their DLC and it works in this game, which is sick. Great game overall!

Incredible game with a ridiculous skill floor. If you're interested in one of the most intensely competitive and rewarding games VR has to offer, definitely give Rumble a try!

EDIT: The Rumble community might be one of the most friendliest and willing to help I've ever seen. If you're struggling in a match, don't hesitate to ask for help!

Tynan mentioned wanting players to finally feel 'horror while playing Rimworld' as one of the main inspirations behind the expansion. Without a doubt, around two hours in, I'm absolutely terrified having barely been able to fend off a death pall by the skin of my teeth.

When modders get their hands on this expansion too? Oh boy.

A lot of fun, it almost seems like a fusion of a puzzle game, a roguelike, and in some sense an autobattler? Very worth the money, especially if you can nag it on a sale.

Incredibly fun and easy to get into, a good run can easily last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. An advantage if you already know poker rules, but if not, the in-game tooltips make it very clear which hands are good and which aren't.
