Okay this needed updating. Hows it going, I'm RangerRoseworth. I play many games. I've been on PC for a while now, almost a decade. Console never was my strong suit, even when i only played Xbox I never could get "control" of the joysticks and a keyboard and mouse came naturally to me. Started with Minecraft back in 2011, around June but I didn't get my first computer till 2013. Quickly spread to Terraria, then a few dungeon crawlers and horror games. My first set of games on Steam was Terraria, Outlast, Amnesia: TDD, and Killing Floor. Sat on those games for a while before reaching out to others like Skyrim, then DayZ. My first computer back in 2013 was a Dell Inspiron 660 lol... Office computer, I mean c'mon I was 15. Shoved a Gigabyte(I think) GTX 750 in there when I got my first job. Then a while after that I built my first PC, a modest start. EVGA GTX 970, i5 4690k, 16 GB of HyperX RAM. That was around the beginning of 2016 I believe, the upgrade in hardware allowed me to branch out into other games, such as Rainbow Six Siege, Arma 3, and the like. I sat on that hardware for years. Around 2019, I bought an Oculus Rift S, I always have been a VR enthusiast, supporting Oculus back in the day with the Dev Kit 2 but I digress. When I bought the Rift S, my 970 didn't have any Display Ports that the Rift S required. So that same day I also bought another GPU, my 3rd GPU upgrade, the EVGA 1660 Ti. After installing it, my girlfriend at the time, was also playing games without a GPU, so this upgrade allowed me to give her my ol' reliable 970, when I was installing the 970 into her tower, she plucked off some rubber dust covers from the back of the 970, revealing a Display Port... Whelp, whats done is done. Now she had a GPU Then I gamed with the 1660 Ti till about 2020 when I wanted to upgrade my entire computer. Build another one essentially, and with the new RTX 30 series just around the corner it just made sense. Bought all new hardware, built it and waited for the RTX 30 series. Then NVIDIA released it, and bam. Silicon shortage Nothing I can do, new hardware, with an old GPU, well not old but you get what I mean. She wasn't complete. Waited for 2 years, and was finally able to get an RTX 3080 at reasonable price, jumped at the chance and snagged it up. Finally after 2 years my build; Lerrit, was complete. Also, EVGA GPUs have never failed me, ever. I will always buy an EVGA GPU - This did not age well 😞 RIP EVGA GPUs Saddest news ever
