Many things are buggy/broken in the game at the current state with buggy achievements that randomly stop working. We also have no steam workshop support which was a cornerstone in the original game's success. The game runs very poorly and it looks like there has been no proper effort in making the game run in an optimised way.

A lot of things like import/exports, city budget, traffic, people, animations, etc are buggy/doon't work correctly in the game. It was hardly playable even with a beefy system.
With the recent patch there has been some minor improvements. But there are still stutters, crashes, missing textures and missing animations which all make the game annoying to play.

Below all these issues is still the potential for a great game. We seen great improvements to the road tools. I love focus on realistic simulation of people, traffic, transport, buildings, industry, etc. We still see issues with traffic AI. For some reason they have removed the feature to be able to see the path a vehicle takes to its destination which makes troubleshooting difficult. Also, they have not fully implemented lane and signal tools to allow individual lane/road management for better traffic control.

A better optimised game with a more accurate and realistic simulation along with tools to help manage them is desired at this point. It may take a long time for this to happen. Maybe after multiple patches, DLCs and workshop mods(if supported).

If you are an avid fan of the original Cities Skylines and are okay to put up with bugs, missing features, and want to pay for beta testing, it may be worth your time/money.

For others, I recommend not to purchase the game until all the missing features are added, and the bugs fixed.
