I have never played system shock before, so this is my first hand experience with this game. I am aware this is a remake of the original game (to which I also have not played).

I love the mix of retro 32 bit graphics with some modern touches. I do love exploring a environment, so this game allowing me to backtrack and take my time is quite nice for a single player shooter. The creepy nature of the game, along with almost no hand holding is also quite nice (not sure if this is how the original game was). Its oddly interesting having to go back to my notes and emails to review what I need to do.

Its worth the money, the devs put a lot of love and care into this game. A must play.

Metro Exodus is a strange game where you are rewarded for not using your guns, The game can be played guns blazing in, but you wont get the good ending.

I have played and finished the game with the good ending on hardcore ranger difficulty. The hardest part of doing that is timing the patrols and not getting caught. I reloaded a old save so many times just because a NPC turned to look at me when they normally would not have, most of my frustration comes from how sensitive the NPCs are, I had found myself many times in complete darkness, watch is not on, NVG because I cant see .. and some enemy two rooms away, spots me in my cover, and shoots me with a shotgun and kills me in one hit from a headshot. (BTW this is not an exaggeration, Many runs have been lost due to this oddity, I have since learned to not be in any kind of line of sight)

This is a fantastic game, Definitely must play game. I just feel the NPC are a bit too sensitive in Hardcore Ranger Difficulty.

Its like if From Software tried to make a skyrim game, its got the feel of dark souls but the open world\free-roam-ness of the elder scrolls series. There were times as I played that I forgot this is a Capcom game and not a From Software game.

Starfield is very much a Bethesda title.

It feels like I am playing Prey by Arcane but they tried to be Fallout 4 and when I hit NEON the game felt more cyberpunk than cyberpunk. I have had very little issues running the game and I am dancing between my PC and Steam deck (to be fair, the Deck is mostly being used as a controller but I had no issues running Starfield on my steamdeck)

There's some quality of life improvements I wish to see, like better map, some kind of tutorial to do crafting and building, Half the time I just stumble on how its done more than told. A good example of this is when I found out how to put extra items into my cargo hold. (I tried to heal myself with some sushi only to find it was deposited into my ships cargo)

This is actually a very fun game, the story and vistas you visit are well worth the time to do. I do wish the fancy MacGuffin to main story was not so much like Mass Effects MacGuffin.

Graphics, Game play loop, all top notch and very few (in my short play time) "Bethesda glitchs" that would ruin my enjoyment.

If you were expecting Elite Dangerous 1:1 recreation of our milky way, you will not find it here, but what you will find is a much better game in traversing the galaxy, you get all the benefits with more custom choices in how your stuff looks, and less tedious travel time (trust me, watching jump after jump for about 2h in ED just to see a black hole, very anti climatic). It did take me longer than I care to admit to learn how fast travel works in Starfield but having the choice to fully enjoy the travel to and from star systems and planets but also just pop to your outpost half way across the map is nice.

End of the day I am sure the debate will be if Starfield is better than Fallout 4 (skyrim is now more a community driven game now and hard to compare) I feel the community will also relish in modding this game (10 bucks on a full Star Wars conversion mod within next year)

I have personally enjoyed and will continue playing starfield for a long time, and after bumping into Skyrim Grandma and having dinner with her on her ship as she talks about her grandkids, I truly fell in love with this new IP from Bethesda.

TLDR:

You will sit down and get lost living in the world Bethesda made for hours.

Fantastic and faithful to the Potter books, you really do feel your in the world of Harry Potter.

I played this on the steam deck with a special set up to run it at 40 fps, mid to low settings and found it very playable.

So far the game seems very enjoyable both with combat and puzzles, playing it on hard I did die in the beginning but due to me not blocking.

I truly enjoyed the settings allowing me to turn off any on screen stuff as I wish.

Ravenclaw ... because apparently I'm smart :p

I had put off Hades for a long time, the art did not call to me, but got the game gifted to me by a friend and now I wish I played it before, I really have to stop judging a book by its cover.
