Right now, the game is a mess.

Ghosts don't follow their own rules.

One of the ultimate "challenges" of the game is heavily based on RNG.

Speaking of "challenges". They are not creative at all, they are the same as custom games but instead of you picking out the modifiers, the devs do it for everyone.

Development is pretty slow as well.

I'm leaving a negative review because it's sad to see the game not recieve the love and care that it needs to grow into a really good horror game.

They dealt with the cheaters it seems so im changing my review to positive.

Okay the game was released.

Actually i had my fun with it. It wasn't very difficult even on Advanced. I literally only lost once to the new bosses. i first tried pretty much all of them. The music is great. Combat great. Characters are well done.

And here is the point where i was a bit disappointed i guess? The story felt really lazy. They added 100 items that you can find in the world. That is your story. You can read the little attached notes to the items to get some lore about the world this game takes place in.

So i guess you get the story dark souls style. But darksouls had good world building as well. Here it's just corridors most of the times.

My final note. I think the game was good. If you want a not too harsh game difficulty wise and wanna help this hopeless little witch with reaching her goal then by all means go ahead.

Oh and Nobeta deserves better than what 90% of the community is. (devs included.)

So quick update. Since i last edited this review barely anything changed in this game.

Developers are working on another game already so GTFO recieves bare minimum updates.

They mostly reskinned enemies and released like 3 unique enemies. Level design is reused assets as well not just reused assets you can have the same room multiple times in one level tier reused. Objectives didn't change a whole lot either. They barelly updated the terminals. The balance is still horrible in the game.
(They changed the movement speed on shadows so they are slower which was a nice change but thats about it.)

Game is full of bugs, from minor to game breaking bugs. These are taking a lot of time to get fixed for various reasons.

There are a lot of features that don't feel finished (Like the eggs, or the wall potato ""enemies"". And that's just a couple.)

They never finished matchmaking as a feature. And even if they did the mentality to use discord makes it useless.

They added bots but bots are not fit for 90% of the missions.

The core gameplay, stealth didn't get any updates to make it better. it's still the same as it was since Rundown 1. It's so bad that people rather learned to speedrun the stealth section of the game which ultimately led to levels getting longer. If you play the game as intended and just calmly approach a room to stealth trough it. You will be spending 2 - 4 hours on a B tier mission. Just by playing the game as it was advertised.

I do not recommend GTFO and i don't see this ever changing in the future.

You can also face powerful bosses in coop.This game can help you make new friends.Or if you already have friends you can easily fill a lobby.Its also orange juicy who doesnt like Orange juice.

Matt just keeps on getting better at making games.
Phyrnna keeps on getting better at making music.
What to expect:
Really good music.
Epic Fights.
a nice system of elements and status effects.
lots of equipment.
Lots of spells.
Lots of epic bosses.
and a pretty okay story.

"Hisako will end the mutant invasion so she can go to school with her friends!" -Hisako (wanting to go to school is a good enough reason to save humanity,thank you Hisako very cool.)

Hisako is precious.Her character is aboslutely fantastic,simply love her.
Combat - its pretty fun (bosses are not too complex but they are fun anyways.)
Puzzles - not too hard but not too easy
Music - it has some really good soundtracks and i would like to know where can i listen to them outside of the game.
♥♥♥♥♥♥ content?- it only has suggestive scenes like mutants pinning a girl down while drooling on them and stuff.(there is no ♥♥♥ in this game and its fine that way.)

Soo are you going to sit there or help Hisako find a school?..

You can dress up your anime waifu/husbando
Find a nice guild to play with.
The story is not bad either.Its pretty predictable but its fine.
I played a few hours with it and its still making me come back.
