Outstanding Game. Updated until this day and only gets better. Definitely not for everyone, but an absolute timesink for others, specially with friends, since it offers split screen, which can be combined with lan and online coop.

HOWEVER, if you suffer of a poor internet connection, the timeouts are ruthless. It is unplayable, a second is enough for a timeout. It's quite rediculous, but worth the experience once it does work.

Currently writing this while listening to the ingame music.
Maybe it's just me and my nostalgia, but the gameboy sonic / megaman-esque soundtrack is giving me all the right vibes.

The controls are very on point, heavy chars feel impactful to play mostly to their weighted controls, but combined with every fighting game animation trick in the book to make playing them feel impeccably satisfying. The same goes with lightweight characters.

The spritework and overall designwork of the UI is a huge loveletter to the gameboy era. Down to the dithering of transparent effects. On top of that, the visuals in game read just as well as their retro game counterpart.

A huge kudos to all the talented people that helped crafting this charming addition to my library!

The character designs are pretty sweet, I love how many there are and what they were influenced from. The Art is nice, animation is fluid and little details like followers getting exhausted from running, the music being louder the closer one is at the source etc. sell me on the charm of the world.

Now while I can get along with the characters and the Worlds overall design, I must say that the Story is conveyed very awkwardly. Interactions with the people stike me as a bit unnatural, and the pacing is all over the place. Some conversations are purely superficial and rushed only for the sake of progressing to more character introductions, and one time, a simple cutscene was used to skip an etire day to end up on the same scene, a bit jarring.

However it's still very promising, and the world building has left me wanting more. If the few translation errors get ironed out and the writing sees some changes, i'd be definitely on board!

It's like tapping a melody on the school notbook turned into an actual rhythm game.
It's very much like I've trained for this before :D
With some very well made custom charts that should contain a good chunk of well known rhythm game songs,
people migrating from other games will find themselves at home.

I'd say this game in general is well worth it's money, my hat's off to you 7th Beat Games.

Might aswell call it SEGAs best adult IP
This ones the one that got me in, and I can only recommend to try it.
Often times the price drops to about 5 bucks, not so heavy on the wallet if you concider emptying on the next purge... a.k.a steam sale

Still standing proud since the day it released. Runs well on a potato, and it's very fun.
Also there still is people playing online, which is a big plus.
I've done my part spreading the word about this gem, and I'd suggest anyone to genuinely give it a try. Specially during steams sales.
