There is a reason why this game is joked as as digital crack. Really really good and the modding scene for the game is insane and receives tons of dev support. If you're not sure try the demo, but also know that the game *never* goes on sale. Ever.

This is a warhammer game, and you have to pay to see blood and gore fly off your enemies.

Putting it simply, this is a great game. when it first came out I was on it a LOT. I noticed this in a lot of positive reviews, but not as much as the negative. Just like a lot of multiplayer games or even some forced singleplayers, it is always so much better with friends. Have a group of 5 guys who all have the game? Brilliant! Hop on a server and begin building your empire! This game takes a ton of work, which, yea, might not be the best of interest for some people, but if you have a lot of freetime along with some friends, this can be an extremely rewarding experience. To hammer in the point of you NEED other people more, there is a skillcap. So, no, you can't be the guy who spends 22 hours a day playing this to get all skills maxed and then just wreck everything. You need a community to play with, to compliment your skills, and most of all to have fun. Sadly, this game is not getting much attention anymore, as everyone is getting ready for the MMO, which is advancing at a snails pace, or then the new seemingly unessecary LIF: Forest Village. Once again the choice is personal and it is up to you to buy it or not, but I would recommend this with friends. If your friends decide to drift away from this game, and you have no one to play with, you sorta stop playing it like I did. At the same time, I am starting to get back into it again
