provides choices for multiple play styles by characters and also builds. a must play, especially with friends

my only complaint is the way we buy the game.
****BUY THE HANDSOME COLLECTION NOT THE GOTY VERSION****
though now we have the pandora collection, that may be the better choice. (dont quote me on that)

A triple A quality and actual parkour (as for me) is such a rare find and that makes this game a must buy. For a game from the late 2000's, the graphics does sure hold up and still look so great! Sure, the parkour is a bit iffy for a beginner but for me, the skill curve is not as steep as it looks. The only gripe with the game is the length of it. I wished more levels was added only to make the skills learned more fulfilling, but otherwise it is a must buy.

I'll be straight up honest that this game will not get any updates. Maybe, if EA wants to but with NFS 2022 coming up, I don't see any possibilities this game getting any extra content.

That being said, NFS Heat is an absolute joy to play. My last played NFS was Carbon and I believe Heat is a real successor to the Blackbox era games. While there has been many controversies over the previous games, I can safely vouch for this game. On sale, this game is worth every dollar spent.

Story: While nothing revolutionary, I actually found the story quite charming. Heat has a cast of lovable and charismatic characters. I finished the main race game in 40 hours but honestly you could finish with less hours pumped in. The game has 1 main story with some minor stories sprinkled in.

Progression: The gameplay, at least to me, doesn't progress like the older games where you start with the "rookie car" and end the game with a supercar. While you could do that, I found every car can be upgraded and used til the endgame. Honestly, I wish there would be a middle ground to this as I found cars to be quite affordable but hey, what's in Heat is also good.

Difficulty: I'd say this game is quite easy, especially on hard. I'd say anybody is able to defeat AI racers (which I believe to not have any rubberbanding). Since I knew I'd be playing casually, it's not that bad but I wish it was more challenging.

Racing: A perfect mix of arcade and realism, imo the best racing handling out of every NFS. I love how cars handle with this game especially with the clutch to break traction to make cars slide. While you cannot see what drivetrain a car has, the driving experience for each car differs to what drivetrain the car has. The cars can also be tuned to extra grip or drift, or rally or road; making every car a potential rally car. Cars can also swap engines as a form of upgrade and also customisation to engine sounds.

FWD note:
The only thing that annoys me is how FWD cars has a lot of understeer. Personally to me it doesn't make sense why I have to drive like its a race sim while RWD can just slide around corners haha. That being said, FWD is driveable in manual and adjustments to controls.

Car selection + customisation: Game has a wide range of cars which you can easily sink your hours in, but comparing to other games, it is quite lacking. Still, it's more than enough for casual gaming. You will notice a lot of reused assets for bodykits from the older games and I just wish they could add more to that, but as mentioned before, it's more than enough for casual gaming.

Final verdict: A must play for all NFS fans and even racing fans too. I'm too lazy to write more for my review but I hope it's good enough to convince people that this game, while lacking content, is a worthy purchase.

Thanks for reading.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME FOR THOSE WHO ARE ON LAPTOP KEYBOARD AND THOSE WITHOUT A CONTROLLER.

THAT STUPID PAGE DOWN/UP KEY JUST TURNS ME OFF. And there's still bugs like how audio is so quiet even at 100% volume.

What a shame, really. I liked the car list compared to Heat (JDM boi) and the setting more. I really wanted to like this game but as of now, I can't get my hands on an Xbone controller so to the refund request this game goes.

It's probably the best far cry, or at least 2nd best far cry. You'll get the most immersion from the game but just know this game was meant to be a tech demo by Ubisoft. So storywise, it's meh but gunplay and graphics is top notch. Also runs great on a potato PC. +1 to library if you love shooting, malaria and driving.

This game stinks of 2000's RPG feels and it's not a bad thing... sort of. Star Wars KOTOR has to be one of the most rewarding/frustrating game I've played besides *cough* Bethesda games. It has great story telling and world building that I believe is better than modern RPGs, albeit cheesy sometimes.

31 hours in and idk what the stats fully mean but the game is simple enough for someone who has played modern RPGs to understand. (note I have never played KOTOR) It will take a 2-3 hours to have a small understanding of skill points and I believe this small understanding is not too puzzling yet has great depth in it.

Combat however is very dated and it's something that pisses me off occasionally. I recommend those who haven't played to have some patience and try to understand the combat. 8/10 of my experience in combat was fairly hard but what I wasn't fond of is how combat difficulty can randomly spike without much notice, I think this is a distinguishable trait of old "dungeons".

And lastly this game is old so there will be bugs. Luckily there aren't many in 31 hours of gameplay but cinematic crashes are known to happen so SAVE OFTEN. I learned that the hard way.

Hope my review doesn't spoil much, I believe its best for a newcomer to experience the whole game without any insights (besides the save often). If you're having that old RPG itch, this game will definitely satisfy you.

I don't think my prison was a rehab centre... It's more like a money printing factory.

10/10 Best capitalism simulator.

It's watered down Smash, good and all but yeah.

It lacks the complexity and variety in attacks and in movement but it's a good starting platform for those new to this genre. I wanted to play longer before writing this review but I can't be bothered earning and grinding gold for characters.

I had fun but was unmatched with what Smash could offer (but come on try the game!!) and just loved messing with people. 6.5/10

(P.S. Also try Super Smash Bros Crusade)
