I used to say that YIIK was a game that looked good and sounded good, but failed on nearly every other level, but with 1.5's release, they've fixed nearly every issue I had with the game. It's much faster, and the additional cutscenes let you connect dots and follow the story much easier. There are still some points where it misses the mark, it is still YIIK, after all, but I don't feel any shame in recommending the game at this point. It won't be for everybody, but if you want to play something that's surrealist and has a lot more monologues than it probably needs (Though I enjoy Alex's monologues), YIIK is a good time.

This game is great! Can't believe I owned it for so long before I actually played it.

I've been really enjoying it! It's a lot more difficult than the base game, but a lot of that is because it doesn't care about your stats going in. It's really built around the DLC exclusive upgrade system, and if you don't engage with it, you're going to have a bad time.

I really enjoy this game! It's too bad Microsoft are run by people who aren't smart enough to use the talent they vast sums of money to acquire.

This DLC is great! My favorite Anomaly is Judgement Bird.

This game is very aesthetic, don't ask me what aesthetic it's trying to capture, I couldn't say.
