I have about 10,000 hours in RuneScape and if you like:

Gaining xp/wealth (watching numbers go up like in idle games)
Fast and engaging combat
Dozens of unique bosses and a few raid/group bosses
Multiple ways to play
A relaxed gaming experience
Skills that you can AFK
Nostalgic feel of playing RuneScape again
Or you just think this game looks cool and want to give it a go

I will be the first to tell you to stay as far away from this game as possible. Once you start there is really no escape. You might take some time off and think you’ve quit but you’ll come back. You’ll always come back. Then, before you know it, you’ll have been playing for almost 15 years and have about 10,000 hours in the game.

Honestly, playing RuneScape is like clapping. Once you start you never really stop. The intervals between playing (claps) might increase but you never truly stop.

Anyways, Jagex, thanks for an alright first 10,000 hours and here’s to the next 10,000. Cheers.

i started playin this game in middle school and im in my mid 20s now, i stopped for a couple of years and im never coming back to this worst gamer addiction !

As someone who has played RS for years, the clapping comparison is accurate.

Also I still find it amusing that there is a gap between OSRS and RS3 players. As someone who got in on RS2 pretty early after the switch from RS (RSC) I've seen this before. I just can't wait till RS4 comes out, OSRS gets shut down, and this happens again.

Suggestion for new RSC (OSRS, etc.) HRS; Historical Runescape. It's like RS3, except with more hipsters.

That said, I doubt OSRS will get shutdown soon, considering the fanbase is more heavy than the RS (RSC) fanbase. It's just funny considering the history, is all.

the camera perspective is what kills it for me. I can't play isometric cause it feels/makes the gameplay boil down to just a lot of pointing and clicking so to speak.

Also stop calling us old school players out on here we are good people too. us poor ol men on osrs got hurt when all the rs3 players said we were gonna review bomb this garbage fun game :cryingrandy:. keep it up and ill rally the vietnam vets to review bomb it back to 2011 with the skyrim release where it belongs.

Ah a hour bragger. go back to lumbridge courtyard and hang out with the one person who is implemented to care and is incapable of calling you waste of oxygen. even with all those hours a rs3 player most likely wouldnt even remember his name like the good ol' old skewl rooneyscrape crew does.

To anyone potentially wanting to play this, dont listen to this guy. most if not all of his hours came from talking up chicks with dicks at the grand exchange. read one of the good rated reviews on recent which are much more clearer than this Big Top Dog gold star clan leader. pick ya poison old school or new school and have fun fellas.
