Much like the second game Saints Row 3 is renowned for it's over the top nature and high levels of customisation but it is debated a lot whether it holds up to the second game or not. In my opinion the second game will always reign supreme just because of the sheer amount of activities littered throughout the map and the amount of layers to the customisation system but I will admit I am partially biased by nostalgia as it was the first Saints Row I played through fully to 100% completion.

The game is incredibly fun to start with and is a blast in co-op, in fact if you are looking for a co-op game buy this Saints Row as it's the best one for it. The third game is also a lot more stable than the second game which is a buggy mess on PC without mods to fix it as this one does not suffer from the amount of crashing in the previous game and the multiplayer services are still being supported. The highlight of the game is definitely the absurdity of everything from the weapons to the vehicles as the game features cars and assault rifles but also features hover bikes with miniguns on and floppy nobs to hit people with. You can drive around cars with tigers in the back, enter a competition to kill as many mascots as possible and drive tanks around with the sole aim being to destroy as much property as possible.

The ways the game starts to fall down is when you put it against its predecessor. The customisation no longer allows for logos on the clothing, wear options so do you want to have your pants rolled up or rolled down etc. and the amount of tattoos is lacking as well as the options for vehicle customisation. The main story is also not as good in my opinion and the villains are too cartoonish and aren't as present throughout the story. The amount of activities is lacking in my opinion as well as you can do them all ridiculously fast if you are going to 100% the game which I have done in co-op.

All in all I would still recommend the game if you are looking for something that will hold your attention while being fast paced and satisfying. It has fun sidecontent and there is more depth to this game than just shooting people, you can blow people up as well and run them over if you are looking for a more immersive psychopath simulator.

Yakuza Kiwami is a remaster of the first Yakuza game so naturally it is a lot shorter than Yakuza 0 and it isn't as fleshed out as 0 but the story is brilliant and the combat is still as satisfying as ever. The 'Majima Everywhere' system has been added which wasn't in the original which adds a nice bit of novelty and feels like a natural extension of the 'Mr. Shakedown' system from 0. The game is definitely a lot harder than 0 in terms of the boss fights which makes the game feel rewarding and keeps it fresh instead of becoming grindy or repetitive. All the combat styles are also available from the get go in this game opposed to Yakuza 0 which had you unlock them throughout the game, the way you unlock abilities is different now relying on XP which you get upon quest completion or by fighting enemies instead of money so you're able to spend money without as much worry as in the previous game.

Be mindful though if you play, like I did, on a mouse and keyboard the mouse sensitivity feels really slow even on the highest setting so you will have to lock on regularly as you won't be able to turn normally like in 0.

Brilliant for a four quid game, it's roughly a two hour long game where you are on a train and you have to unravel a mystery, it's heavily narrative and dialogue driven and if I said anymore I would give too much away.

One of my all time favourite games, got it again on PC after not playing it for 5 years. As long as you use the Gentlemen of the Row mod it runs fine and it's packed with fun sidemissions which is where it excels. The story is great but where it really shines is in the sidemissions known as activities as this is where the game gives GTA a run for its money. You get to do things like commiting insurance fraud, completing hits, stealing cars, trying to cause as much property damage as possible in Mayhem, you can also run people over on a flaming quad bike and fly around an attack helicopter on top of many other missions you will be given to do.

Played through the entire game in one sitting. Definitely one of the best action games I've ever played.

If you just want to shoot things uninterrupted for hours on end with three of your mates then this game is for you. It also has no bad memes and pop culture references like Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel.

The Director's Cut improves on almost all the flaws that were in the original Human Revolution. One of the main improvements is making boss fights work in synergy with stealth/hacking builds now and adding new options and adding the Missing Link DLC into the main story. The developers also added a new game plus mode which is also a nice addition.

You can get this type of game for 50p at the arcades. Save your money and go 5 minutes down the road and play a better version of it.

Battlegrounds is easily the best Battle Royale game to date and it is a good middleground between the realistic Arma 3 version and the arcade game feeling that King of the Kill gives. It is also already more polished than H1Z1 and it has a much larger gun selection and a lot more gear to use. It is the most balanced Battle Royale game as well and you never feel like you died because of the game you always feel like it's your own fault and that you actually did something wrong which is good.
