If you have some other game to play, hold out of buying until they polish what's broken.

The core gameplay does work, for a narrow mix of weapons, classes, and maps; the few ones that the developers bothered to playtest. But there are a lot of systems like hidden mechanics, invisible hurtboxes, and map spawn triggers that are just flat out broken. This doesn't matter on the casual difficulties. But on the more challenging ones, many of the weapons, class builds, and map locations suddenly stop working. So the endgame content is a lot less that it looks on paper.

For example, the higher enemy HP of harder difficulties means that melee headshots now matter. But many of the weapons have broken hit detection. Even if the animation is CLEARLY a top-to-bottom chop, it still registers as a body hit unless hit at the very tail of the animation. Or, on some maps, the higher spawn rate on the harder difficulties means that the map triggers are forced to spawn enemies on top of you. There's an infamous rooftop spot that causes a party wipe if anyone dares set foot in it.
