Not the worst budget rig, but I definitely play on a budget rig.

AMD FX-8450 Eight-core Processor 4.40GHz
16.0 GB RAM
64-bit Windows 8
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070ti

I had just finished Prepare to Die edition (with DSfix) for a second time the day Remastered was released, so I got a pretty good feel of the changes that were updated. I was happy with the changes that had been made, and feel like the $20 upgrade was fair especially since it runs so much smoother.

The framerate is noticeable immediately, and throughout the entire game. Not only Blighttown FPS staying steady, but every other little area that caused a slight dip, there was none. Personally I was also getting a screen tear with DSfix, which isn't there anymore on the remastered. The lava in demon ruins isn't nearly as aggrivating either.

Textures and lighting were updated, and they do look far better than DSfix. Good job on that mod mate it was worth it at the time, but this was done better so it's time to move on. Fire looks amazing, and so does magic. Cut scenes run at a higher framerate and look smoother too if you're into that. The reviews that are saying "We already got DSfix" are people who didn't take the time to compare the two games.

PVP is broken wasteland, but there are definitely some good fights that come out of it. Dead angles are out, and I'm running through game with Great Scythe and not crying like a baby who lost a toy. There are lots of other ways to git good, so do it. Make sure you have the 'Well, What is It' on hand and ready, it encourages playing more broken PVP while boasting your dominance.

The interface is the same, but a little better. You can scale the UI now, and my absolute favorite, you can remap the jump button! You can also use more than one Consumable at a time now, which is pretty nice too.
