Valve set out to improve 1.0 and overdid it. They lacked an overarching vision of what they wanted this product to look like and the communities response was simply not good. Despite their ongoing attempts at trying to improve this version of artifact, it was simply not good enough.

Where to begin? They were clearly pushing for a game that would be playable in mobile and failed miserably, as 15 slots are barely good enough to read and see on my 14inch laptop.
They removed RNG from the game as if RNG as an evil entity and the cause of all 1.0 evils. It wasnt.
They added underlords mechanics to the shop (that is peak irony right there since underlords is also unofficially no longer receiving any updates).

The classic artifact is a masterpiece that was very close to perfection. Minor adjustments would have been needed to make it an amazing game with a thriving community. Instead, we got this.

What a sad way to end this. Valve has disappointed me on a higher level, and i will actively seek to not use the steam platform from here on out when possible.

This is the best card game ever designed.

You are a soldier in a long never ending war between the Wardens (scum) and the Colonials (divine beings).

Here´s how it goes:
- Look at the map, identify critical supply line points
- Take a Rifle and some Nades
- Destroy a bunch of enemy trucks
- Laugh while they run after you
- Die trying to hide in the bushes
- Repeat
- Woops colonials won again :D

Game is good but becomes repetitive after just a few hours. Great idea, great concept, but needs less randomness and more depth to gladiator selection. You just buff one dude until he is a monster and he carries you every fight.

Will totally change to positive if patched in the future.

EDIT: I have played the game quite a bit more and totally feel like i got my moneys worth. Therefore I changed it to positive. I will maintain, that the game needs more depth and patching to balance the management of your gladiator teams.

8 Bit Shadow of the colossus, but harder.
Im having gamepad issues, so my experience has been limited to keyboard..

Made me rage quit multiple times 11/10
