There are two modes; Hello Abyss and Deep In Abyss.

Hello Abyss: Incredibly faithful to the original anime in the way the characters are presented, the styles, the actions are almost frame for frame perfectly replicated with the 3D models and the architecture of the abyss is incredible! You play an overall weaker character but it is a great way to learn some of the major mechanics you are going to be using within the Abyss on Deep In Abyss mode. Also Riko can die in many exciting and unique ways, which is a unique and nice touch to really drive home the gritty reality of the abyss.

The story follows up to about halfway through the first series of the anime where they descend into the vertical wall. So as it stands don't go into this expecting to get the full series of the anime in the game.

HOWEVER

Deep In Abyss: You control your own character and take them through a harsh, gritty reality that is unforgiving from the outset. You start out on your first dive, weaker than even Riko, and from there you spend your time growing, completing quests and gaining experience as a delver. You will easily surpass Riko after a few dives. With a story supervised by Akihito themselves, you know it's going to be a fantastic and brutal story that doesn't hold back.

Controls: Both keyboard and PS5 controller are a joy to play with. It claims to have partial controller support but in reality the controller support is 100% there and is not a problem at all.

Gameplay: Crafting, surviving, trying to work through the curse of the abyss, and reach the bottom of the netherworld. All enjoyable as you try and get past some incredibly dangerous and scary monsters. There is a large amount of inventory management in the early game which seems like it will become a bit easier as a skill allows you to carry a bit more. Just try not to go up too fast or you will be risking your life in unnecessary situations that would be child's play otherwise.

Graphics: There has been some mention of the graphics not being "the best", but I personally enjoy them as they are VERY close, if not an exact copy in some areas of the anime, and really gives a lot of depth and feel. I enjoy it thoroughly as it's like I'm playing the anime, and that's what I came here for.

Sound: A very important part of the abyss, sound has been crafted very well, from the game's OST, the songs, the ambience around you, and having the original VAs reprise their roles for ENG and JP is truly a delight. Every line I have encountered is voiced and it truly adds a feel to the game which makes it more exciting.

Lore: There are little bits of bonus info in the game that explore bits of lore here and there that really add to the knowledge gained in the anime and manga, so if you want get as much knowledge as possible the game is a must.

Replayability: The Abyss itself is a great replayable device, but there are lots of secrets hidden everywhere, but no "collect these golden eggs to get X" or "Korok Seeds" item mechanic, which is a boon, but also a shame because finding broken mail balloons could have been a chance to add in a few bits of extra lore by being able to read old delver's stories and could have just made the abyss itself feel more alive.

Conclusion: This game tries very hard to master many different areas of the game, and does well. While there is less from the Hello Abyss mode as originally expected, it's a tutorial, and Spike Chunsoft has clearly focused 100% around the quality of the game, and it shows in many ways. There are tiny bugs that in all honesty should be expected based on the terrain of the abyss.

Score: A resounding 9/10 Crying, Broken and Totally Helpless Children.

It's brilliant, and beautifully crafted. There's a hope that there might be some DLC in the future, but even without it the game is a gem. I truly am enjoying the experience.

Early Access Review
There's something about this game that brings satisfaction to me, something about taking something covered and completely hidden that you clean, you remove the dirt from and beneath it is something beautiful. Everything is beautiful and vibrant post-powerwash (actually, it should be called pressure wash because it's cold water not hot water, apparently), which really helps to see the difference you can make with it.

The Pros:
1) The cleaning itself is just satisfying, and you can use the dirt as a canvas to have a bit of fun.
2) You have an array of different cleaners that are useful should you want to speed the cleaning process up.
3) The maps that are available are truly beautiful and well crafted.
4) The itinerary for each item actually teaches you something about the vehicles when cleaning them.
5) The "location" maps are vibrant and unique, bringing something different with it.
6) The story is actually interesting, which you wouldn't expect for a power washing game, and the humour is well placed.
7) The vibrancy of the items after having the dirt removed makes a beautiful contrast that REALLY pulls you in and gives you a feeling of pride in your work.
8) The timelapse of your work at the end is a fantastic feature that definitely has potential!

Cons:
1) While the maps are awesome, it would be really cool to see some more "animated maps", and fantasy locations for a bit of humour, so while it's nice it's grounded in reality, it feels a bit stuck at times.
2) The items feel limited. It would be nice to get more nozzles instead of the same ones for each model, to give both some variety, and also reasons to use more than just "the best model you've bought", as I found myself hardly changing to old models, and never changing once I had purchased everything for the PV3000.

Feature Thoughts:
1) It would be cool to have a radio that you buy and could place somewhere, to play video from a YouTube video (like lofi or whatever you like), with fade in and fade out as you are closer and nearer, to really add in more of a "living environment".
2) Some people in the background that come and go here and there would again, add in some variety to make a "living environment". Of course being ablew to turn these on and off would be good.
3) Maybe workshop support if possible, to allow people to make their own levels/add their own spin on it would be quite interesting too, as money is limited so workshop items would have a 0 reward to fit in line with "progression" desires. Or maybe the amounts could be auto generated based on amount of dirt etc.

Over all, this game is strangely addicting, very interesting, and a unique simulator that has showed potential and continues to do so. The game is cruel about the cleaning spots, but not cruel enough to ever feel unfair, but more "pushing you to do better".

In conclusion, I would give this game a solid thumbs up!

SCORE:
8/10 Pink Fuzzballs

A great game with lots of potential and features that could be added to give this game a much longer lifespan. I would love to keep streaming more of this game as it's genuinely satisfying for everyone!

A retro-pixel style, sprite based game with beautiful and vibrant animations. I picked this up as a fan of tycoon games, but fell in love with the way the game plays and feels. There is, for an early release of a game, a lot to do and enjoy already.

There are things potentially missing, but with support I don't see them not happening. I think one of the best features that this game could do with is a lot more sandbox map sizes, track limitation increasing, and just over all allowing higher end PCs to have a lot more to play with and enjoy in terms of the amount of tracks/stocks sizes etc you can have.

As a commuter in London, some things that is super essential to me would be being able to run multiple lines from the same track, more frequent trains but most important would be multiple floor layers. As it stands I can't build underneath floors I have already put down, and that makes this a bit of a shame for me, as the rate race on the tube in London (eg Bank/Monument stations) is a lot of intertwining, interconnected tunnels.

This game has insanely incredible potential, and I'm going to enjoy this game for a long time to come. :)

This is basically photoshop but for sprites. Truly a fantastic piece of software with a good price point. I've used it for both simple and quick things, and longer, more complex things. I really enjoy using it, and will continue to enjoy using it!

This is a truly wonderful game from what I've experienced so far. The developer has been great with the bug fixing (first one within 24 hours of launch) so I really feel it's going to be well supported and the community will be listened to very much.
So far I have reached the end of the first season and it has been an absolute blast. I've really loved every moment of the game and the very well done visuals that have been applied to it. The story so far has been interesting, and it doesn't take an overly pushy front seat. It starts you off and then lets you choose your own path. Sink or swim without a huge amount of hand holding.

If you like Harvest Moon's farming style and progression then you're in for a treat. The game balance is very closely related and that makes it that much better! The dev has definitely learned from them what makes this genre good, and has applied it masterfully, and made it their own.

Pros:
Farming
RPG-esque mining
Smooth, simple gameplay
Speedy updates
Huge amount of possible things to do each day
Character Customization is pretty well rounded, gives a lot
It feels like a wonderful tip of the hat to Natsume

"Cons" (More like requests):
The initial time/action blanace seems a bit off. I don't always get as much done as I'd like.
Running speed. I just wanna go a little tiny bit faster. Relates to the time/action balance really.

Overall, I'd give this game 9/10 Parsnips.

I now have to go back and really judge who I am as a person. This game hits deep at more than just a character-level and makes you wonder what games should really be about nowadays.

Aren't many games that are able to bring the tears quite like this, and every tear was well shed for this game. I have never enjoyed a game to the point of sitting and wanting to constantly keep playing for a very long time.

Toby and co. really have hit a true level of how a story should be told in a game. If you don't play this at LEAST 3 times you're doing it wrong. You're gonna have a bad time.

Also, I lost my 4th wall, has anyone seen it?
