This is a good game, but I will not be linking a PSN account just to play a game I was already happily playing. It clearly shows you do not need the extra account and requiring it after the game has been out for a while is just stupid.

Good has prevailed against the bad, Democracy can be spread once more. Helldivers 2 is a great multiplayer PvE shooter. Everything just feels like its well made, and the updates are constant. Great with friends, but the matchmaking system also works well enough to not force you to only play with your friends.

Suddenly requires Epic Games Launcher to run, and can't really be played offline. This wasn't the case before, so this was added in an update.

Excellent military shooter game, and it was a blast seeing it evolve over its early access period with fairly constant updates. I grew up on playing earlier Battlefield games like BF2, BF Vietnam, BF2142 and bad company, but Squad really captures the scale of those large number player battles and integrates communication and teamwork much better into the gameplay.

Teamwork still isn't guaranteed to work even though the logistical gameplay and fortification building almost require it, but that is life for you I guess, people just don't work together sometimes. To me, doing those support things on now 50vs50 matches is great fun, especially when others notice your work. Voice communication works great.

Gunplay in Squad is also very nice. While it may be tough to hit those long range targets, especially if you don't have the scope on your guns say like the Militia or Insurgents factions often don't, I like the realism there where you're supposed to be fighting much more close to the enemy. The combined arms aspect of squad is also great, where there is armor around the battlefield. They bring real fear to me when I'm not playing as the role specialized in defeating them. I just hope they add attack helicopters or something to Squad, although they may not fit their view of the gameplay, with maps at least generally feeling smaller than what you would see in Battlefield games.
The graphics are fairly nice too, but especially I enjoy the sounds.

Overall, especially since the game is now "complete" but also as there is more content to come, the game is an easy recommend if you're looking for a larger scale military shooter that emphasizes teamwork somewhat.

Edit (25.01.2023):
Microtransactions were added to Squad, even though it was never ever supposed to end up with them.

Can't mod my SINGLEPLAYER EXPERIENCE with mods anymore. Thx T2.
Take Two can take a number two in it's moneygrubbing face.

Oh and the multiplayer turned into a Take Two's money farming hell a long time ago.

A fantastic prison building simulator, that isn't even released yet, yet it shows so much promise and has frequent updates. A recommended buy for any city building sim fans or the like. Some pretty good mods for this can be found from the workshop.

Great strategy game from the Civilization series, the first one I've tried. After getting this though, I've since looked back at what it came from, and it came from the excellent god father of strategy games, Civilization I. Absolutely great. Multiplayer still a little clunky but works very well when it gets going. Oh, and theres a lot of great mods for this thing through steam workshop too, which couldn't make it easier.

Absolutely fantastic grand strategy game, by the infamous Paradox.
On multiplayer, at times it is ludicrously unstable, but it does not kill the fun of the game, just makes it that slight bit more frustrating. Other than being unstable at times, the game is excellent, with it's tropes. There are some absolutely great mods for this game too.

But there's Train Simulators amount of DLC. Quite a lot of which add lots of new gameplay mechanics, that make the game more complex, and more enjoyable. Yet each one of these Expansion DLC's cost like half of the game. And theres more than a dozen of them.
This makes the "full" game cost around 300€ (without discounts), which is not really acceptable.
