Early Access Review
A refreshing taste of roguelike bullet-hell (not for everyone). There are so many power-ups to explore and builds to refine that you'll definitely get your money's worth out of the game. The game is still in early access as I write this, so I'm excited to see how the updates end up being as I've already gotten my money's worth as it stands.

Easily the best platformer to grace the world in many years. It can be an intimidating game for beginning players that aren't used to platformers, but it builds you up and teaches you all you need to know gradually.

It's a great game for beginners and a fantastic game for those looking for a challenge. There are advanced techniques that you learn late game that'll blow your mind if you haven't seen them before. I recommend not spoiling yourself, though. I can't recommend this game highly enough!

The diversity of each playthrough isn't unique enough. You have a melee attack and a ranged attack. The items gathered in a run don't change how you do either of those things. Once you've seen a floor, you've seen virtually all it has to offer. There are limited amounts of bosses, so both character and dungeon feel samey after a short time. The combat feels about as shallow as Moonlighter without the shop part to run.

Post-release edit: The game has improved quite a bit since my initial review. The items you get through each playthrough are more interesting and have synergies now. Your pickaxe can ricochet off enemies, change size, split into multiple pickaxes, and more.

However, I still can't recommend this game as the dungeon enemies and bosses lack diversity. Clearing the game once or twice is all that's needed to see almost everything the game has to offer.
