This game is a childhood favorite and I've sank maybe hundreds of hours into the original. In this version they made drastic changes to the UI (I only found out reading some of the negative reviews *why* - because this game is apparently a straight mobile port) and it just makes it very frustrating to play. Why not just put the original PC versions on Steam instead of a vastly inferior port of a mobile game?

The perfect ending to the Frog Detective trilogy. It's funny and heartwarming, and it has that unique sense and style of humor that characterizes the whole series. The ending not only nicely wraps up the plot of this game, but does the same for characters you met in parts 1 and 2 as well.

The game is rough around the edges - the UI is not very user-friendly and the game crashes frequently (though thankfully it saved my progress every time it happened). It's also not an idle game, despite what the tag/store page says; the game doesn't progress as you have it closed and although you can automate certain tasks later on, the game still needs active participation. That being said, I find the game really charming. The gameplay and the graphics are simple in a good way. And considering its size, scope, and short development time it has a surprising amount of depth. I also appreciate that they went back and fixed the bug with the achievements not working.

The gameplay's not really something to write home about, but I liked it nonetheless. I enjoyed building my vault and maxing out the stats and happiness of my dwellers. However, it's a real a-hole move to put an achievement in your game that either requires spending (potentially) hundreds of dollars on lootboxes or obtaining those lootboxes by maintaining a daily log-in streak for almost a whole decade.

What an absolute gem this game is. The trailers and the pre-release footage I had seen was enough to pique my interest, but what the game ended up being far surpassed my expectations. The art direction and the sound and music design are phenomenal, the world building is amazing (I'm a huge sucker for the Blade Runner-esque aesthetic that influenced many of this game's environments, the dark gloomy cities with narrow alleyways and streets in neon lighting, beautiful) and the animations are incredibly life-like (to the point that many people believe the cat's animations were done with mocap, even though every interview with BlueTwelve that I've read that mentions the animation emphasized that the cat's movements were entirely hand-animated).

This is a world I genuinely enjoyed exploring and interacting with. The cities feel alive and lived-in beyond the fact that they have NPC's populate the streets. Neon lighting advertises business ventures, there's posters and graffiti on the walls. The world is full of little nooks and crannies to explore, places you can doze off in, furniture to scratch. I like the human traits that the robots took over as a way to honor humanity, the way they express their personalities through their fashion and lifestyle, and the way you can interact with them. You can trip up a walking NPC by getting in their way, you can ruin their board games, or you can spark a little joy by rubbing against their legs.

The main story is not complicated, but it contains a deeper layer of commentary on human nature, and how dealing with large-scale problems with short-sighted solutions will just end up biting you in the ass. It is at certain moments predictable, but even in those moments it was still emotionally effective.

When I heard that the game was going to be a more "on-rails" experience and that you wouldn't have the ability to freely jump (instead that there would be button prompts), I got worried a little, but in practise it ended up working really well and made for a very smooth gameplay experience, for me. The game is linear, but I didn't feel like my freedom of movement was being heavily restricted.

Just overall this game was exactly what I hoped it would be and more. It made a promise and not only delivered on that, but went above and beyond.

In Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator you play as a space warlord who is involved with the organ trade. The core of the gameplay is about accepting requests from clients who require certain organs (and some are pickier or have more specific demands than others) and then compare the organs that are put up for sale with their requirements. You then have to quickly make a decision on whether you should buy the organ or if it's waste of money/storage space before a rival trader snatches it off the market.

The gameplay reminds me a bit of "Papers, Please" in this sense, you have to compare two sets of data to each other and then make a quick decision on which action to perform. But you're given a grace period of a second or so to do this (if you're dealing with a lot of rivals that you haven't bought off), organs sometimes disappear quickly but I've yet to feel like I'm not being given a fair shake. On its surface the gameplay seems very frantic, especially during rounds where more rival traders get involved, but once you figure out how the game *works* it's surprisingly relaxing.

In addition to the organ trade there is also a stock market. It's an easy and risk-free way to make extra money if you understand the basic principle of "buy low, sell high", the only downside to it that I've encountered is that I sometimes invested too much money in stocks and then had trouble buying the more expensive organs during the organ trading phase.

This game also has some of the coolest and most original art direction that I've seen in a game in a while, and it has a soundtrack to match.

I adore the cute low-poly graphics, the snowy landscapes with the tiny houses and the tuxedo-wearing penguins, but the issue with the camera/controls inducing motion sickness that were raised years ago were never fixed. Even many of the positive reviews mention the motion sickness, so it's something that affects some people more than others, but for me it really diminished my enjoyment of the game.

Ravenous Devils is about a couple with an entrepreneurial spirit and a penchant for murder.

The obvious comparison is to Sweeney Todd, and this is intentional (it's even implied he was the previous owner of the building you move into!). The game fully leans into its theme and dark humor and it's all the better for it. The presentation and atmosphere of the game are its strongest points and it's fantastic; the art direction, the music, the voice acting and the story all work almost seamlessly together. The animations are gruesome and violent, while the background music remains upbeat, matching the chipper attitude of our hard-working hostess, Hildred. (There's also a reference to Little Shop of Horrors that I really liked)

There are a handful of named characters that you have to kill, and here the game gives you a hand in that they're all unlikable in some way, letting you fully indulge in their murders without even feeling a little bit guilty about it. Throughout the story there are moments where Percival and Hildred show a softer side - mostly towards each other, but Hildred also to a child who sometimes appears in her pub. I really enjoyed these characters. These are two extremely dangerous, ruthless people, but they're also deeply committed to each other.

The game does have its flaws. The main one (as mentioned by another reviewer) is the lack of an ability to lose. You're technically under no obligation to be quick or efficient at killing your clients, it mostly just leads to people being unhappy because they can't find clothes to buy.
The other one that bothered me is that the table upgrade felt more like a downgrade. Transforming your meat pie shop into a pub gives you more demanding customers, and results in less customer satisfaction and money than if you hadn't. After I unlocked my first table I found myself wishing I had finished the other upgrades first.

The gameplay does get repetitive after a while, but with the main story taking about 5 hours to complete, it doesn't overstay its welcome. I finished the game in one session and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I also feel it didn't need to be longer than it was. For people who still wanted to continue playing after the main story ended and don't want to start over, the devs have announced that they plan on adding an endless mode in a future update.

For the current price and what you're getting for it, it's an easy recommendation.

You play as the voice inside a girl's head who is trying to buy a bag of milk, but her mental health is in tatters, which makes this task considerably more difficult for her. Through dialogue choices you can choose to be encouraging or mean, but depression being what it is, kindness is mostly brushed off and cruelty doesn't tell the girl anything she doesn't already know to be true. It's not a game about choices mattering and you can't "fix" her problems, but you get to see what goes on in the girl's mind and how her thought processes work.

In a way I appreciate this more than if this was a game about saving a depressed person from their depression; this lack of a fix-it feels more honest, and in a weird way the lack of catharsis is in its own way cathartic. This is a game about mental illness, yes, but mostly it's about buying a bag of milk.

The game is very short, but focused, and one of the most incisive and original portrayals of psychosis I've ever seen. The art direction is minimalistic but effective, the glimpses you catch of the world through the girl's eyes are otherworldly, creepy and surreal, and both the art and sound mesh really well together to create a deeply unsettling atmosphere. At the current price point, even if you don't wait for a sale, it's an absolute steal.
