Assassins creed but in middle earth

In the beginning this dlc was so fun and exciting. The areas look beautiful especially cerulean coast but when you actually explore them you can see how empty they are. Just copy pasted enemies and oh another like 6 more copied dragon fights and very boring rewards. The weapons feel weak and the spells feels like they do nothing. I just stick with my base game weapon and it does way more damage and it goes way better (every weapon I have upgraded to max even the dlc weapons). They should've just given us the weapons fully upgraded or just scale them fully to our levels. Like meteorite staff. One of the selling points is the "awesome" ashes of wars and spells. They are not awesome. Some do actually look great but mostly they look so bad or just useless. The midra weapon looks so cool but the ash of war is so bad, I just wanted like a boss move like the combo attack with madness fire, or the big explosion attack. The real ash of war from it is just a jump up and down attack totally useless and looks uninteresting.
The blessing system feels like it doesn't do anything at all, I'm +13 on blessing and still feel weaker than I am. They are going to re balance it though and make it stronger. I'm not against hard and difficult battles but it doesn't feel good in the dlc. The bosses is not difficult in a way with unpredictability in attacks or fun attack combos like Malenia and base game bosses have, it's more like the attacks just one shots you (max vigor btw). The bosses have a good amount of health but some enemies like the furnaces are just completely unfair. No way am I hitting those big things dealing like 1% of the health bar after 10 attacks. Feels worse than Greyoll. It feels so unfair with how much damage they do. I wished they made the bosses have better combos and cool attacks instead of just boom one laser that just insta kills you ahem Midra... The only fun fights were like the divine lion beast and Mesmer. Mesmer had fun combos and it felt good avoiding the attacks and learning his moves. Otherwise they just deal too much damage I feel like. A strength build feels like a glass cannon and mage builds are kind of impossible to do. They are way to weak. Even though I am max level (rip Mohg palace rune exploit btw) I feel like I am level 1. After playing some dlc and then going into base game it gets so easy. Base game feels like a toddler game now. I am on like new game +6 I don't fully remember but i have 100% the game on that save. Speaking od which, sad to see no extra achievements.
There is so much potential if they would have filled out the area with more new enemies and better exploration rewards. After the first half of the dlc I just wanted to get it over with. The exploration I felt in base game just completely disappeared because it felt so unrewarding in the dlc. The quests are a bit buggy and doesn't work correctly, talking to you Thiollier...
The story is great as always it expands the elden ring universe well and some moments even made me surprised and happy, like seeing the last boss and phase 2 but sadly that fight lags as hell.
Base game elden ring is a 10/10 this dlc is like a 6/10.
I can only recommend this if you have money you want to throw away or if it ever goes on sale. 40 euro for this is not worth it. So much wasted potential. I was so hyped when I saw the trailer and I pre-ordered day 1. Too bad it didn't live up to the hype as i hoped. Maybe I should just play through dark souls now instead...

Amazing art style, always get emotional beating the ending bosses, really fun and unique characters, amazing combat, a lot of fun with friends.
Just buy it already... Don't even wait for sale. It is 100% worth all the money
