It's always nice to play a decent simple RPG. Worldbuilding, combat and exploration are all solid. It's clear the game is going for a certain 'vibe' and it definitely achieves it. My only real 'complaint' is that combat could be harder. Definitely recommend especially at this price.

This is basically a copy paste of the first game but it's still pretty fun overall; the guns and weapons are pretty fun to use and there are definitely some good moments. Unfortunately there's quite a lot of jank, the map is tediously large at times, the base building is basically pointless and I think this game has quite possibly the worst story/ending I've ever seen. I'm not sure how much of this is due to it being in Early Access but I'd definitely wait until it's polished or it's on sale.

Fantastic game that's well worth the price, especially if you like deckbuilders.

Worth

Dying Light 2 is not exactly what you'd call an "improvement" on Dying Light 1, but it's still a pretty fun game altogether:

+ Combat and Parkour is mostly fun
+ Good variety of items and weapon mods to use
+ Lots of quests/challenges/events to do
+ Co op is great (when it works)
+ Apparently there are "5 years" of updates planned which is cool

- So many bugs holy mother of god, this game is really not finished
- Side quests and collectables can be missed, but no new game + so if you miss one you're screwed unless you join someone else's game. Truly a baffling decision on the devs behalf here
- No way in hell there are "500 hours" worth of content; I did literally everything except a few side quests I missed and I only clocked around 50 hours; if you replayed the game for the alternative ending that's like 100 max
- Story choices are mostly irrelevant, and unless you actively look up how to get the "good ending" you will almost certainly get the bad ending which is just plain awful
- Parkour is a major pain in the arse sometimes, especially climbing gutters. But then most of the parkour is made pointless when you get the paraglider anyway.
-Achievements are bugged and won't proc; I have at least 5 that I should have unlocked but just won't
- Weapon mods are fun but super expensive to upgrade, so chances are you'll pick 3 or 4 max and stick with those as there's no point wasting resources levelling the others
- Aiden can get beaten up by volatiles/goons/ explosions and gets up easy but somehow gets KO'd like 5 times from random lads throwing a punch in the quests, what on god's good earth is going on there?
- Night time is nowhere near as scary/dangerous as in DL1, you don't even see volatiles unless you're actively trying to get Chase level 4

Overall I would get this game on sale, and even then I'd wait at least a year for the devs to sort this ♥♥♥♥ out.
