So this is a sad day that i have to post a negative review for this. I loved PoE 1, I was playing it since there were only 3 acts, and it wasn't even on steam. It was awesome! I started playing PoE2, and initially It seemed like a dream come true! the map design, the enemy design, the world even was beautiful and amazing!
But the gameplay..... The devs have Auto aim on abilities. and its not able to be turned off. That by itself ruins this game for me. its incredibly frustrating to not be able to control your character how you want. especially with abilities such as the Monk Bell. That ability was nearly un-usable on Bosses like Zalmarath The Colossus. That plus the Honour system being incredibly poorly designed thereby making Evasion builds far stronger then anything else is just really makes me want to shelve the game. Hopefully the Devs will disable the awful Auto aim, or at least let us disable it so i can go back to playing the game, but until that is done, I cannot recommend purchasing this game.

Such a shame. This game had it all, engaging fun and difficult Co-Op, fun nonsensical meme-generating lore, live service updates and an active staff that engages with the community. All of that sullied by a greedy publisher that wants to do nothing but pump up their numbers, even if it means killing any faith the community has/had in the game and removing so many active players from regions unable to even create a PSN account. Great job ruining everything Sony, you've done it again.

Fantastic game, once they work out the few bugs, it'll be a 10/10 from me!

Game is playable, still missing a MASSIVE amount of content, and is still a very unfinished alpha state of a game.
The game doesn't have anything like a "Late Game" to keep people's interest, so it will likely die in a few months.
That being said, the game is fun as hell!

The game was fantastic on all difficulties before the patch. after the patch, the game is unplayable. devs are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots

Trash story, horribly klunky controls, 3/10

Dont listen to the haters, they apperently missed the "Early Access" tag.
The game is incredible. Sure, the servers are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on day 2, but they will get them back up.

I've had the game since a few months after the early access version came out, and I've tried to play it so much.
It just fights you at every opportunity.
RNG based cannon damage, very poor aiming mechanics make the game frustrating to play against NPCs, let alone players,
NPCs that seem to have a motor and handbreak installed in their ship.
One of the good things about the game, the manual sailing controls, ends up feeling incredibly tedious, due to the wind being a incredibly basic rotating direction.
The game had potential, but i just don't see It changing enough to be worth recommending.
Heres hoping Naval Action 2 is in development, and is reworking those problem systems.
