Early Access -arvostelu
This is, to put it bluntly, a really crap version of Minecraft. I bought it for 11 cents and made a profit from the cards. If you want to make a couple of cents, pick it up, play until you have all the cards, and then immediatley uninstall. That's what I did, and huzzah! Some extra cents appeared in my wallet, almost like nothing happened. If you don't care about trading cards at all, stay as far away from this as possible. Uninstall Steam, destroy your computer, or move to Sweden if you have to.

I'd like to start this review by saying that I have played more than 14 hours of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. The thing is, Steam doesn't count offline hours. I probably have around 100 hours in total.

TLDR: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a brilliant game, if you didn't already know this. There are lots of pros, and very little cons to the game. This game will probably give you more hours of fun then most AAA games of a much higher price, because there is so much replayability to it. I'd highly suggest this to any person who has a spare $15 to spend, or someone who has a computer that can't run many games well, as this should run just fine on most systems.

Pros:
- Replayability. This game has so many possibilities, because it is rendomly generated. As well as this, you have to play through the game multiple times to get to the final boss (At least 21, if you are super-ultra good at the game and remembering calculations to do on the fly). For the more average person, it will take 32-34 completed runs to unlock the parts needed to get to the final boss. This isn't even including unlocking every single item in the game and becoming "The Real Platinum God". Also consider that these are fully completed runs, which means going as far as you can before the run ends. So if you consider a completed run to take about 40 minutes, then to unlock every single item in the game, it will take you 1,720 minutes (or 28.667 hours), PLUS all your failed attempts, of which there will be many. This is also assuming that you start and immediatley play on Hard mode. It'll take longer if you don't. Not only this, Afterbirth DLC is on the way, which will give you at least another 2 hours in a perfect world, and possibly more if they release more stuff than the current leaked stuff we know. These calculations are also assuming that you spread all of your runs in the most optimal way, which probably won't happen. I believe I've made my point here, there's a lot of stuff!

- Art style. This game looks very good, especially compared to vanilla Isaac. But, it is simple enough to be able to run on most computers just fine. I run it on my poor quality school laptop, and it runs just fine (with occasional framerate drops in some areas depending on what I am running in the background). This reminds me of Nintendo. It's the right balance between quality and performance that makes it run on low-spec systems, and still hold up as a good looking game.

- Difficulty. While probably not well-balanced between hard more and normal mode, this game is still incredibly tricky until you get used to it, which can take a while. I still suck and I have put far too many Science lessons into this game. I do suggest starting in Hard mode, as it doesn't make too much of a difference and allows you to unlock items that you wouldn't otherwise unlock if you weren't on Hard mode. Balance changes should me made either in the upcoming Afterbirth DLC or in a later expansion/game, which makes Hard mode more difficult. At the moment it just increases the amount of Champions, which just makes the game more tedious instead of nessecarily being harder. But, the overall difficulty is still a very good feature about this game, if you don't like games that hold your hand like an overprotective caretaker.

- Synergies! My favourite part of the game, as expressed by the exclamation point. This game has amazing synergy with items, some of which you'd never understand. You want a controllable laser ring of death? You can do that. You want to create so much splash damage that it essentially kills whole rooms at once? Yeah, that's possible. You want to be able to walk into a room, stand still, grab a drink, and by the time you come back everything is dead without you doing anything or taking any damage? Easy. You learn a new amazing combo every day in this game. It's amazing, and certainly makes it more playable after completing the whole game, as you will encounter things you never thought would work before.

Cons:
- It's a little bit of a Wiki game, as I like to call it. You'll get a new item and it will have some really odd message that doesn't blatantly describe what it does. You don't know whether it is a good item or not. This can be taken in a couple of ways: 1) It's an adventure! I'll find out when it matters, Or 2) I have no clue what this is doing, please save me Google Overlords. One of my examples is when I got a trinket called The Left Hand. The describing text of it was: "The Left Hand path reaps dark rewards." I had no clue what it meant, and I didn't notice what it did, until my friend told em that it changes the chests to other chests. This is one of those games where the wiki can be your best friend.

That's the only con I could think of. Seriously, this game is good and you need it.

I completely understand why this is the highest rated game on Steam. This game is a simple concept, executed flawlessly. Easy to learn, difficult to master. The concept of fighting with only two buttons may sound easy, but I have to say that you are wrong.

The core gameplay of this game is incredibly simple. Bad guy comes in death box, you click respective mouse button (or controller button) to smack them in the face. Some enemies require more smacking to die, which requires more skill. Weapons dropped by your enemies can be picked up and used if they are in the death box. They extend the size of the death box for a period of time, so you can attack enemies who are further away from you. You also can pick up Bows, Daggers, and Bombs, which are all ranged projectiles that one-shot a single foe, despite how many smacks it normally takes to kill them. But to be honest, the gameplay is so fast that you don't need to memorise that, and you will pick it up easily by playing the game.

This can run on a potato. It is only stickmen fighting, so the graphical fidelity isn't exactly "Next-Gen". However, the style is still pleasing to the eye. They've done it in a way where it is easy to spot enemies, and to know when something is happening. It is done in a way where you can spot out certain things amongst the chaos, which is good. It may not be ground-breaking, but it certainly is decent and effective.

The soundtrack is rather nice, with a variety of generic songs that sound like they would appear in an epic Japanese fighting movie, which seems to be the overall insparation behind many of the themes. This music can get a tiny bit repetative after a while, but that is overshadowed by all the bright points of the game. Most of the time I end up zoning out and not listening to the music, so it doesn't mind me too much. However, when I get bored of it I can easily mute the music, and play something like the rock version of the song Harlequin. (That's from Homestuck if anyone is wondering).

Level design is rather tough when you've got a game with such basic gameplay mechanics. Most of them have the same (or similar) background copy/pasted from a previous level. The interesting part is the different level kinds. These always add their own flare somehow, whether they change the music, the appearance of the character, the background, or all of the above. They always change the gameplay, however. My personal favourite is the Light Sword (not Lightsaber) round, which gets its own music, background, enemy and player appearances, and weapon with custom sound effects. It is very enjoyable to play those sorts of rounds to break the standard, consistent gameplay.

In conclusion, this is a great time filler. Rounds often take no more than a minute, with most taking less than thirty seconds. You do have a survival mode if you feel good enough, but that can just keep on going unil your inevitable death. If you are looking for the most stunning thing to ever exist in gaming history, this is not it. This is a consistently good game however, that appears to be appreciated by many people who play it. I'd suggest this game. Of course, sales make it even better, but this does deserve full price even if you will only play it in the ad breaks of a Twitch stream.

This game is... interesting. First of all, I'd like to point out that it is a mobile port. Well, I think so since my friend had it on his iPad before it was out on Steam. For a mobile port, it's alright. The options when you launch the game are helpful, and I can see why picking what display to have it on would be useful. You could essentially run this alongside another game and only pay attention inbetween respawns or something. So far I have seen no reason to use the pay-to-win system despite the temptation to speed up the constant waiting game. This has been compared to Cookie Clicker. I see why as it is its closest relative but it is a lot different. This one is focused more about developing your economy over clicking to buy old ladies. This is definitley more automated. The angel system is the most interesting part of this game. You gather angels by earning money, but can only use them if you trade your economy for them and restart entirely. This encourages replayability, not that it is really a big factor in a majorly casual game like this one. Overall, I think this game is good. Download this if you need something to pass time. You don't have to pay a dime, so you may as well. It is a nice thing to have on your PC if you are ever in need of something to do.

This game has a good concept, and an alright soundtrack. Its main flaw is the very poor optimization - I do not expect frame drops on such a low-demanding game, even on my bad computer! If I can run Hotline Miami perfectly, I expect to run this. But no. It frequently drops from 60 fps to 10, which makes a platformer like this almost impossible to play. Also, the devs can't use capital letters.
5/10. Buy if on sale, because the trading cards make your money back.

My review of Super Meat Boy:
Jump, Die, Jump, Die, Die, Jump, Die, Die, Die, Jump, Jump, Jump, Jump, Die, Die, Jump, Die, Jump, Ragequit, Relaunch, Jump, Jump, Jump, Jump, Jump, Jump, win.
Level 2: Jump, Die, Die, Die, Jump, Jump, Jump, Die.
I think you get the point.

Don't Starve. The title is very optimistic, isn't it? Well, 90% of the time you WON'T starve, instead you will die in the thousands of other brutal ways you can. Y'know, get killed by darkness, Treeguard, Accidentally hit a Beefalo, Burn down a forest, Go insane, Be killed by pig, Find a Deerclops, Freeze to death, Be struck by lightning, Turn PVP on in Don't Starve Together, Die of pure stupidity, Get killed reviving a friend, or go AFK and forget to pause. I'm sure there are more ways, but these are the few I could think of. And yes, I have been killed by almost all of these ways. But the one thing I don't do, is Starve. (Even though most of the time dying by stupidity is being stupid enough not to eat)
10/10 I have no life. I need to go outside and hopefully not starve.
