Jokes aside, it's genuinely amazing to finally see HoC release after delays upon delays - sure there is some hitches here such as some bizarre balancing choices with the mutants and wonky optimisation.

Whilst optimisation can be better - it's still an amazing game that screams its made with love and care for the original 3 games, especially that the devs genuinely care for the game and it's community.

Overall despite some hitches here and there, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is a shining diamond in the rough seas of AAA slop, even with it's jank and all.

Snide remark aside, Black Mesa is by far and wide, an absolutely beautiful love letter to half life.

Screaming "Hammond you idiot!" while your teammate crashes the humvee into a tree before getting blown up by 5 engineers has never been this much fun.

Best £13 I've spent.
