An absolute gem of an ARPG, would 100% recomend it if it wasn't online only.
Of course, online only sucks the fun out of it.
It is very grindy and RNG based, two things that you either love, or hate. I hate them, but you may enjoy it.
Be ready for a lot of disconects, desyncs, and losing hours of gameplay just because the server decided to hiccup right after you used your extremely expensive access-to-an-endgame-boss item, and now have to spend 2-4 hours farming again for it.

If you don't mind any of it, be ready to spend. The game is about as free to play as heroine is free the first time.

If all that is still not enough to deter you, enjoy! It's a game for countless hours of fun if all of that is cool in your book.

The game is fun. It's lighthearted, the story sucks, but the gameplay is amazing, which is what matters in the end in an ARPG.

It does not have offline coop, which is why I can't, in good conscience recomend it. This review will change if the devs reject the toxic, anticonsumer "online only" ways and give us diablo 2 style offline coop, which the game is ready to support.

I started the game and cut an ogre's parts.
Not the arms.

Then the ogre cut my parts.
Not my arms, either.

Then I stepped on a rusty nail, and a tentacruel killed me.

I tried again, this time I had a shield.
My shield arm was cut.
But I headbutt him strong enough to die.
For me to die.

This game taught me that shallow characters are better than deep, shi,tty ones.
Gameplay is fun, but:
Can't skip dialogue
Worst written characters I've ever seen
Worst written dialogue
Worst voice actors
I literally had to mute dialogues when I got the that crappy inventor
No, I haven't played TLOU2 so I can't compare, but I don't think it can get worse than this.

Please bring back the writer from BL1.
