The Last of Us Part I - A Masterpiece of Storytelling

The Last of Us Part I is a masterpiece that redefines storytelling in gaming. From the moment the game begins, it pulls you into a breathtakingly beautiful and hauntingly broken world shaped by the Cordyceps Brain Infection (CBI). This fungal outbreak, inspired by real-life Cordyceps mushrooms, has transformed humanity into a shadow of its former self, pitting survivors against terrifying infected creatures and, often, each other.

A Story That Will Move You to Tears
At the heart of the game is the evolving relationship between Joel and Ellie. What starts as a reluctant partnership slowly grows into something deeply meaningful. Joel, a man hardened by past trauma, sees Ellie as just a task to complete. But as they journey together through a decaying world, their bond transforms into one of trust, love, and mutual dependence.

As Ellie says in one of the game’s most poignant moments:

“After all we’ve been through, everything I’ve done… it can’t be for nothing.”

This quote perfectly captures the game’s emotional depth, reminding us of the sacrifices and hope that drive these characters forward.

There were several moments—particularly in the cutscenes—where I couldn’t hold back tears. The raw emotions, the heartbreak, and the moments of quiet beauty hit me harder than I ever expected. Few games can make you care about characters on such a deeply personal level, but The Last of Us Part I does it flawlessly.

A Beautiful Yet Broken World
The world-building is spectacular. The environments are stunningly detailed, from overgrown cities reclaimed by nature to dimly lit interiors that are equal parts atmospheric and nerve-wracking. The remastered graphics on PC bring this post-apocalyptic world to life like never before, making every scene feel cinematic.

That said, I did notice a few minor graphical issues—likely because I’m running the game on a less powerful computer. There were occasional frame drops in cutscenes, but thankfully, the gameplay itself ran smooth as butter. If you have a better setup, I imagine the entire game would run flawlessly.

Can’t Wait for Part II on Steam
Now that I’ve finished this masterpiece, I’m eagerly waiting for The Last of Us Part II to arrive on Steam. If it’s even half as good as Part I, it’s going to be another unforgettable experience.

⭐ 10/10 – Truly unforgettable!

A Return to the Roots!

Assassin's Creed Mirage delivers exactly what fans of the classic games have been waiting for. From the moment I stepped into the vibrant streets of Baghdad, it felt like being back in the good old days, where parkour and stealth took center stage.

You play as Basim, a character with a complex background and a determination that makes him incredibly engaging. He's smart, cunning, and his journey from a street thief to a feared assassin is truly compelling. His growth feels natural, and he brings back the classic "assassin mindset" – it's all about being discreet, tactical, and always having a plan.

The story is gripping and keeps up the pace, though it’s on the shorter side compared to other recent titles. However, despite the shorter runtime, the experience is rich, and every moment feels carefully crafted. It's a game that respects your time and keeps you fully immersed from start to finish. For me, it was absolutely worth the price.

What I really liked:

Back to stealth and parkour: The focus on stealth and parkour is a great return to form. It feels like the classic Assassin's Creed we know and love.

Authentic setting: Baghdad is beautifully crafted and feels alive with vibrant details and historical accuracy.

Tight narrative: Even though the story is shorter than in other titles, it's well-paced and keeps you invested without unnecessary filler.

No overwhelming RPG elements: I appreciated that the game dials back on the heavy RPG mechanics from recent installments and sticks to the basics.

What I didn’t like as much:

Short length: While the story is engaging, it feels a bit short compared to previous games in the series.

Limited exploration: The map is smaller, and exploration doesn't feel as rewarding as in other Assassin’s Creed games with larger open worlds.

AI inconsistencies: Sometimes, the enemy AI can feel inconsistent, with guards being either too easy to trick or unrealistically sharp.

The gameplay is tight and focused, without the unnecessary RPG elements from the more recent titles. This is all about being a crafty assassin again – sneaking around, planning your strikes, and taking out enemies one by one.

If, like me, you've missed the old Assassin's Creed, Mirage is a must-play. It feels like a loving tribute to what made the series great in the first place.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is nothing short of a masterpiece. This game delivers a breathtaking journey through feudal Japan, where storytelling, combat mechanics, and visual beauty come together in perfect harmony. The Director's Cut adds the fantastic Iki Island expansion, which not only expands Jin Sakai’s personal story but also introduces even more challenging fights and unique environments.

The combat system is fluid and intuitive, offering a variety of techniques that make every battle a strategic experience. The game’s world is a visual marvel, and I could spend hours just exploring the stunning landscapes. The soundtrack is equally enchanting, adding depth to every moment.

If you're into epic narratives, spectacular combat, and incredible visuals, Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut is a must-have. It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played..

Raft is one of the most unique and refreshing survival games I've played. It starts you off with nothing but a tiny raft, a hook, and the vast, endless ocean around you. From there, you need to scavenge, build, and survive while drifting through an unpredictable sea.

The simplicity of starting with almost nothing and slowly expanding your raft into a floating fortress is incredibly satisfying. Each resource you collect feels like a step closer to mastering the ocean, whether it's fishing for food, purifying water, or building shelter.

What really sets Raft apart is its atmosphere. The serene, open ocean can be both calming and terrifying. The sounds of the waves, the sight of distant islands, and the sudden appearance of a hungry shark all add to the immersion. It’s a mix of peaceful exploration and tense survival moments.

Multiplayer makes the experience even better. Working with friends to gather materials, build a raft, and defend against shark attacks creates some of the most fun and chaotic teamwork moments I've had in a survival game. Plus, the thrill of discovering new islands and abandoned structures together adds a real sense of adventure.

The only downside is that the gameplay can sometimes feel a little repetitive, especially if you’re playing solo.

Overall, Raft is a must-play for fans of survival games. It’s simple yet challenging, and the combination of exploration, creativity, and teamwork makes it a truly enjoyable experience.

I've been playing ARK for a while now, and it's easily one of the most thrilling survival experiences out there. It blends terrifying dinosaurs, deep crafting mechanics, and challenging base-building to keep you hooked the entire time.

What I love most about ARK is the freedom it offers. Want to build a fortress on a mountainside? Tame a T-Rex and rule the jungle? Or maybe dive deep into underwater caverns filled with danger? The choice is yours!

Visually, the game is stunning, especially if you have a rig that can handle it. The environments, creatures, and especially the dinosaurs are beautifully realistic, and the sound design makes you feel like you're truly on a perilous prehistoric island.

Multiplayer can be chaotic yet incredibly fun—nothing beats forming a tribe with friends, building bases together, and defending yourselves from wild dinos or other players.

That being said, ARK isn't without its flaws. The game can be a bit buggy at times, and optimization could use some work. But in a way, it adds to the charm, where the unpredictable can happen at any moment.

Overall, ARK: Survival Evolved is an epic game for those who love the survival genre, and if you're ready for the challenge, the sense of adventure and exploration is well worth it.
