After playing Smite 1 for over 7 years, testing Smite 2 since the early alpha (which was terrible), and now experiencing the beta version, I must say it has improved INCREDIBLY. The game feels so much smoother compared to Smite 1, the matches are no longer as drawn out as they were before, the item purchase system is outstanding, and the graphics are objectively much better.

With over 100 hours in Smite 2, I can confidently say giving it a chance is almost mandatory. The new skin system that alters the functionality of certain gods is super fun, and it’s been years since I’ve had this much fun in a Smite match like I do in Smite 2.

As for those complaining about the game, it’s mostly about the lack of skin transfers from Smite 1, but honestly, I don’t think that’s a significant issue when the gameplay itself is this enjoyable.

Huge kudos to the Hi-Rez team for improving an 11-year-old game and delivering a faithful and enhanced sequel in record time.
