the basics of balancing a game should include the ability to be able to escape the killer when you are found by him, it is next to impossible to that right now and it is insufferably unbalanced to a point where its inexcusable, especially with how much they monetize each new killer update that games even as scummy as overwatch are able to do without charging for.

Early Access Review
Bugs, crashes, low framerate, and clunky framerate and just all around confusing gameplay plague this game around every corner. You could argue its because its in alpha but they're charging $30 so I expected a lot more polish.

Don't do it

This game is really bad

It's so buggy

There's so many hackers

The player placement is horrible

It's so laggy even on really good PCs

But somehow once you start playing you can't stop

One of the biggest problems with the other 4 games in the franchise is that they always failed to scare you after a while, because the game wasn't able to throw new things in to scare you. But besides that I loved the other games, and this game fixes that problem, but comes with so many more.

One of the minor problems, but is something definitely present, is the mixed tone. It tries to be dark, gloomy, and scary, but also tries to be funny. The TV show in the middle of each night is a great example of it feeling awkard. After going through a scary and intense night, to sit down and watch a silly show just feels off in terms of tone. And moments throughout the game where the AI(?) changes his voice are another example, just doesn't fit within the game, no matter how funny it may be.

Another huge problem is this game's "difficulty." This has been present mainly in FNAF4, but it really shows here. You are thrown into multiple situations not knowing what to do, they tell you about 10% of what you need to know, and leave the other 90% for you to figure out for yourself. And they draw out each of these moments out for far too long, and are far too punishing if you fail. The "puzzles" in this game are like trying to solve an invisible puzzle, and if you screw up once you have to start over, you don't know where you screwed up, but you better not do it again. Its tedious to say the least.

However when the game is good, it's really, really good. The voice acting is impressive, the plot is mysterious (although having to go over it again and again if you die or re-open the game is pretty annoying), and the gameplay, once you figure out what to do, is pretty good in some places. And the game is very scary, and adreneline rushing, and unlike the other 4 games keeps this feel throughout the entire game.

If you liked the other FNAF games chances are you'll be able to overlook these problems, and find enjoyment, however if not I really wouldn't recommend it.

5/10

Developers need to stop delaying a PC port and still have it be complete trash.

Until they fix all the problems with the PC port the original is the way to go.

This is one of my favorite games ever.

The stories great, and has an incredible ending, accompanied by some fun (sometimes repetitive) gameplay.

Even if you haven't played bioshock or bioshock 2 you should still play this, as it's almost completely separate from those games.
