Far more engaging than I expected. I love it.

The user interface for PC is extremely difficult. Sometimes right click provides a prompt to close a menu, sometimes it doesn't work. Sometimes escape closes a window, but only for some windows. Its not buggy, its just inconsistent and I found it frustrating enough to put it down. Otherwise it looks and feels beautiful.

Pretty but boring. Combat is weak. The economy is almost non-existant. I wanted a better version of albion online and we got something worse.

Albion Online implements the same freemium gaming mechanics as mobile device games. You will see this with the island expansion which attempts to make the player sign into the game every day to farm or raise animals. It's the exact mechanic that keeps me away from free iOS games. What should be a MMO about economics is now designed to achieve compulsory participation by the player by using timed/daily tasks, thus necessitating the monthly fee for priority access to the server queue. I would recommend watching South Park season 18 episode 6. Pay attention to the conversation Stan has with Satan. ;)

The worst user interface I've seen in a while. I love games with a steep learning curve but the graphical presentation of the UI is terrible. Returned.

Everything is so streamlined and automated. Its great for people new to the series that just love battles. For those of us that love the decisions made on the world map just as much, the game is a let down. I might consider it again when its on a steep discount.
