The whole story mode and what I've played of the side missions is absolutely magnificent. Yeah there's bugs, the "chains" battle bugged out so hard that I had to exit to desktop and re-launch before by buddies and I could access the supply items in that arena. For some reason I feel like Easy or maybe Normal is closer to the damage it takes to kill Tyranids with the weapons provided, but Veteran is a proper challenge for coordinated players.

Also on bugs, I can't return to main menu or quit from the interface, it just plain soft locks, so I'm used to closing with Alt+F4. My buddy said he runs it as admin and that helps with some of the issues.

I can imagine most players use the gamepad, I went keyboard and mouse but I had to rebind half the combat controls because they felt rather unnatural (right click is melee instead of zoom for example) so if you are a K&M player I STRONGLY encourage rebinding on your first session so you don't make my mistake and rebind before the last 2 missions and then proceed to repeatedly tap the wrong button in a heated exchange.

Yeah, these are good games. I can't speak to the quality of the port because that's really not my focus, I'm more just happy to be playing the classics and all the later releases. There's so much of modern FPS design that owes itself to DOOM and I'm always impressed when I see something technically amazing being pulled off with the limitations of the engine and the "only one surface at a time, no getting on roofs and no tunnels under buildings" rule.

The fun parts are fun! I enjoyed the story all the way through, and while I won't say it is the greatest story ever, it definitely helps to carry this live service game's content to the players in an enjoyable manner. Around level 40-50 enemies I needed to take a moment to look up how the mechanics actually work to make a build that survives properly (hint: Ajax is HP and Def) and around 80 things started getting a bit tougher because PUGs could no longer carry everyone with level 100 stuff. After completing the story, the next two objectives are where the painful grind begins: take down a boss that requires coordination, THEN take down a boss that people just love getting OHK by and ruining the intercept. Pretty much the point where I grabbed my hat and coat off the rack and stepped out.

Then again, I know better than to play live service games for their story. I was very compelled to see how hard they one-for-one ripped off the Warframe uh... everything. Mastery rank, character and weapon unlocking, lots of the gear modification process, and the things that aren't Warframe are very familiar elements from other games like Diablo-style weapon and armor drops with random bonus attributes and other configurations. I dunno if it could be called plagiarism, but it is so close to the source that it really validates DE's gameplay and economy model.

If grinding is your jam though, welcome to your new home, may you have great fun and carry many PUGs!

This is fun, and it was 100% discounted so I got it. Then I told my friends and they got it, I like this mix of in-world puzzles and interface-driven puzzles, it is super chill, and you can spot what other players are doing if you can't land a puzzle just right.

Pretty wild interpretation of what a 52 card deck and jokers can be! While there's some wacky stuff that may be confounding--like Four Fingers Joker not doing wrap-around 4 card straights like KQA2-- and the fact that Hand means both the cards you're holding and the ones you've selected to play, it has a lot of things that a great deck-builder needs!

Yeah, I played this already in earlier tests and I'm hooked. Black Mesa facility during an emergency is pretty great for a survival game prompt, and I'm eager to explore the whole facility!

Well I'm 3 hours in so I can't return it, nor would I return it. Who would return this glorious masterpiece anyway, what kind of lowly civilian scum would retreat from defending Super Earth and spreading Democracy across the universe? Shame on them. You, however, aren't lowly scum, you're going to get in and wear your cape into glorious combat! Impressive!

I'm still very engaged after 50 hours within 3 weeks of starting, no clue how much has been AFK on login screen (maybe 10?) and how much is fighting the augments system to make my stations craft what I want them to, and how much is inventory management.... but I forgive all that for the robustness of the crafting system and the joy of making a fancy new toy with the best of materials and enchantments available. I'm still not through the main story quest up to the.... I guess it is endgame.. level content, but I suppose I'm enjoying myself enough to be in no specific rush. Ellipses... ... ...

Sabotage just makes great games I see. I first came to know about them from Sea of Stars, but I found this game in a past Humble Bundle. It isn't the game you think it is, it is the game that knows what it is and you have to discover it through playing. There's a lot of "oh GTFO with this crap" platforming sections, but if you're able to overcome that and a sore thumb from holding A while pressing X and Y, you too can be one of the rare few who have completed the game up to the 30 percentile (main game) and narrower still to the upper 10 percentile to complete the enjoyable and challenging second act!

Solid game overall, can't think of any bugs I came across. If you see empty vertical slots that make you think you need to do an Axiom Verge style wall-shift move to get through, you're wrong, it'll all be revealed in time...

All of a fun one hour experience! No idea when it will be continued, but another hour would make it a nice feature film length story for a competent gamer.
