Ok so I'd like to take a moment to point out a few things about the game that may get buried by the portion of the community that is complaining about recent patches.

Fistly, this is one of the funnest games that i have ever played. True i have only played on Single player and on private servers, but over all even when im having a sucky day in game. I'm still ahving fun. Yes it is difficult. yes you have to work at getting things and yes many people dont agree with the direction the game is headed with the various nerfs that they have performed. but you have to take into consideration that this game is in early release. the rules will change as the developers direction and goals change. as it was once you were able to tame a quetzl (one of the larger harder to get arial dinos) you could just stay up in the air out of attack range but within aggro range of whatever you were trying to tame. even now that is still an option if you have some friends with you.
you could speed around without hardly any cost to your stamina and never had to land unless you were offloading supplies or gathering something. pvp ended up being "who could build the better battle quetz" with people building boxes around their flying mounts strapping it with turrets and all the ammo it could carry and strafing by as you could.
eliminating more than half of the dinos in the game from even being effective.

second. there is a mod for that. there are so many mods out there. the developers support the communities creativity actively. there is a prize pool for who can make the best mods with cash prizes. with eventual plans to incorperate the community's favorite mods/ideas into the game at a later time, there is so much you can do. the mods are hugely varied from total conversions that entirely change the way th game is played to additions of single items the options are endless,

Lastly, you will want to keep playing. the game has so much to explore, to build, to do. there are loads of caves to delve into. you can build whatever you want, and there is always something to do. always.

i may be biased as i love the game and play it daily but this is definitely a must buy!
