Let me start off by saying the game is still hard to run even after all the patches.
Gameplay is okay at best but lots of choices in how to aproach a situation makes up for it.
If its on sale maybe consider picking it up if u crave an RPG.

After 600 hours of building my fleet in the designer i decided to start my Nether campaign. The first battle went as follows: My main ship promptly did a barrel roll and sunk after shooting itself after which my escort ships rammed into eachother and exploded after a single volley from the enemy's ship.
10 / 10 Would get my teeth kicked in by an easy enemy ship after 600 hours of testing again.

Just another no brain 3rd person shooter with cover mechanics.
If that is what you want this is nothing for you. Hard morale choices and a sublime story.
Buy it if u can save the money you won't regret it.
