Early Access Review
It really disheartens me to write this review, KSP is the reason I fell in love with, and have an ongoing interest in space and space travel.

This is game is in pre-alpha, so I expect bugs, poor optimisation and instability from the offset, but to find so many bugs in a game that has been released in early access with a £45 pricetag is unreal. It was incredibly frustrating to hear that the game was continually being pushed back several times as the devs didn't want to release a game that wasn't ready, but I always fully supported that knowing that they were doing if for the right reasons and that, when the game is finally released, it would be in a very user-friendly and playable condition.

More to that, we are paying very close to "triple-A" prices for a game that has advertised so many features that avid KSP players were really looking forward to, only to have almost all of the new features (even Science Mode) not yet available ingame. I can't help but wonder why they have released it now, given they continually pushed the game back over and over again because they didn't feel it was good enough, I dread to think what condition the game was in on the days they were previously considering releasing it.

I will be watching closely for updates and I will consider purchasing again, but so far the handling of the release and the advertisement of the game were handled so poorly and the content itself is no where near close enough for a £45 cost. In it's current state, I would consider paying £20, as it really should be classed as a donation to "opt-in" to test the game for the devs to bugfix. Why would you pay nearly £50 to a dev team to bug test for them?

This is the only game I genuinely play to a competitive standard and I absolutely loved this game. It was so simple perfect and smooth. Graphics are on point, the competitive edge is great and the learning curve is forgiving.

Enter: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Epic Games.

Famed for its habit of interfering with games that work, Epic have taken the glossy, high-sheen surface that is Rocket League, and machine-polished it with a scouring pad made of solid steel, leaving the broken, bruised and benefit-scrounging platform to beg and whimper at the lack-of-stability.

We can disconnect from the servers around 3 out of 5 times we find a game and the servers are always down. When Psyonix hosted this game, zero issues. Literally never. Now that "Understated Games" have taken over, there is literally no chance of playing more than 5 games without encountering an issue. Even as I type this, myself and two other players are queuing for a game and have attempted to connect to no less than 5 different servers.

Update: we have now connected, but one immediately lost connection.

1/10 for Epic ruining a beautiful, perfect, EPIC game and ruining both it and, subsequently, my life.
