I beta tested this game and its a very fun rouge-like platformer. As you progress you feel increasing more powerful and the game-play loop is fun and rewarding. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes platformers

Pay to win but still very fun. You can make up the difference with a lot of playtime but I would recommend swiping at least a little. Devs seem like they try really hard to address all our complaints.

EXTREME Motion sickness in VR due to the movement system. Unable to pick things up from the ground in VR cause Character cant reach the ground. Very fun on PC though.

~18ish hours of game play depending how many times you die or walk away from the screen and the vast majority of it is cinematic scenes. Great story, Game play feels like a ripoff GrandTheftAuto but the story is worth it. would recommend.

This game surprised me with how good it actually is. The official reviews say ♥♥♥♥ like "“Ash of Gods: Redemption is outstanding in all aspects.” then give it a 8.5/10. Ridiculous! if its outstanding in all aspects its a 10/10.
The game gives you interesting choices and it feels like the really matter. It has me staying up to obscene hours (for me) and still wanting to play more, The further I get into the game the more I want to start over and see how other options play out. You develop different fighting styles and having one member taken out of your party completely changes how you have to fight, you have to approach battles with different types of enemies in unique ways. You have to figure out how to best utilize your different characters strengths and weaknesses and its a very engaging, challenging experience. I would love to see this developer succeed and produce more games in this world, the Lore is incredibly deep and I keep finding that I want to know more about the past and future of this world and its various characters!
TLDR: 10/10 would recommend to anyone who enjoys a challenge or tactical/strategy games or loves getting to the Lore of a game. IMO its Better than XCOM 2 and I quite enjoyed that game.

Newest update makes the game unplayable and deleted my save.
Every time I open the game I am prompted to set the brightness again and am rewarded by a "Error Operation Failed" error message. From the Main Menu the continue button is missing so I'm assuming my save file is now lost. When attempting to start a new game I get the same "Error Operation Failed" message and have to close the game.

Let me start by saying I have 500+ hours into this game.

It saddens me to see that this game has "mixed" reviews under 'recent.' Upon reading the negative reviews for the same, it seems to be mostly people whining about it being poorly optimized or them not being able to play at all because they didn't read the minimum requirements for the game or don't know how to file a support ticket for their issues OR they are upset about losing their base on a PVP server with offline raiding enabled.

First of all, for anyone looking to buy this game, realize this is EARLY ACCESS and it FREQUENTLY goes on sale or has special events so you can nab it pretty cheap.
For an EARLY ACCESS game, this game has more content and features and is more frequently updated and has less bugs than most tripple A games out there.
That being said there are still optimization issues and the devs are aware of that. Also the UI could be more user friendly. It is frustrating at times when you die or your Dinos die; however, the amount of fun I've had playing this game far outweights any of the negatives. The pure amount of content for this game can be overwhelming. PVE servers are available for people who don't want to compete or fight against other players, I highly suggest anyone who plays go to a server with no offline raiding(an option that protects your tames and structures while you're offline).

The Devs are very responsive to the community and are always releasing new content, Its an ambitious game that is really trying to accomplish a lot and doing very well at it all things considered.

TL;DR: This is an amazing game that is well worth the money, also most of the negative reviews are from whiners. There are more than enough ways to keep from losing your base when you log off including 'No offline Raiding' servers and PVE servers.
