The game is pretty balanced, one of the most balanced games out there in order to win you need a lot of training and mind games.
Character Customisation is for your mind to flourish but personally i don't like it.
The only downside to this Tekken version is (for now) the fact that you need season pass or to buy seperatly 2 legacy characters that should have been included in the game originally.
Tekken bowl is a pretty fun gamemode for those who want to invest in the DLC.
The game can be discouraging to newbies since most of the player base is old fans.
The ranking system as of this moment is really good there are some flaws like instantly deranking when losing to someone with higher rank than you or after a long winstreak getting instant demotion match after 1 game.

I definitely recommend this game. It's a really fun game to play with friends, and challenging for fighting game fans since most fighting games are 2D and Tekken introduces 3D wich adds more game mechanics like sidestepping and siderolls.

Try it out for yourself and don't get discouraged by the learning curve.
