This is an entertaining game you can play with friends. The maps rotate every time someone dies, and thousands of custom maps are available at the community workshop. It's perfect for playing as a filler if you're waiting for friends or want to take your mind off things. Excellent graphics with fluid animations.

I decided to pick this game up when it dropped on Steam, which was the first game of this genre I had played. The story is outstanding. You play as a Jedi Padawan (Cal Kestis) who escaped the purge of Order 66; on a quest to rebuild the Jedi order. The game is challenging. As you master your abilities, you can engage in a fluid lightsaber and force combat to deliver intense, movie-like battles. The thrill of these battles, as you level up and gain new powers and abilities, is truly exciting.

The game has an excellent pace. You can explore new areas and gather collectables as you traverse the planets. The worlds are unique, each having its own environmental style and enemy types. There is a lot of platforming and swinging to get to places, which is fantastic if you're into that. Furthermore, there are puzzles to solve along the way, which is a nice touch.

Your lightsaber and character are customisable as you acquire collectables scattered around the planets. There is a good mix of colours and sabre types to recreate. Along the way, you will run into a friendly droid that will help you along your adventure, which can also be customisable.

Combat is fast-paced. You must block, dodge, or attack precisely or get hit immediately. You can evade long-range attacks, but sometimes it's inconsistent. You can roll, parry or jump out of the way. Specific abilities allow you to synergise these combat mechanics well. The game presents you with enemies and tests your combat skills in multiple ways. Boss battles are excellent, with a different attack style forcing you to adapt.

The graphics are outstanding, and it definitely makes you feel immersed. The planet's landscapes are crafted very well. Everything looks gorgeous. Sound and visual cues presented remarkable character dialogue with classic Star Wars lines.

Here are some quick points I don't like about this game.

-Parrying feels off and needs to be timed perfectly.
-Performance is not the best; stuttering is the main issue, along with a few bugs you encounter.
-A lot of backtracking.
-The story felt short.
-Minimap is hard to navigate and needs to be better designed.
