While the games media continues to extol the virtues of battle royale games like Fortnite and PUBG, and even Overwatch, there are so many games that slip under the radar and are not given the column inches they deserve. One such game Skydance Interactive’s team shooter Pwnd.

Skydance Interactive was co-founded by Treyarch co-founder Peter Akemann and includes a team which has worked on Gears of War 4, The Evil Within, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Skydance also created VR title Archangel which was released last August. Pwnd has been largely ignored since it went into Early Access last year and now it’s taken the next step and gone free to play.

Although Pwnd has been “released”, it’s obviously still in development as there are only five characters at the moment, three maps, and loot crates are “coming soon”. What Pwnd does have is some rather unusual game mechanics and this game is not just about killing players, it’s about Pwning them. Matches are 3v3 affairs on relatively small maps with each player picking one of the five characters each with their own special abilities and personalities. It’s a bit like Overwatch on speed with plenty of verticality.

Pwnd 1

The five characters include Hank “The Humiliator” Harris who’s a equipped with a rocket launcher, Mack “The Law” Lawson comes with heavy armour and force shields, Victor “Splice” Guerrero who can slow opponents with sticky goo, Veronica “VEX” Cervantes the Cyber ninja who relies on speed and time manipulation, and finally Rise “The Pwnisher” Ito and her mech suit and Pwn Bot assistant. Each of these characters not only looks great but sound great too. Like Overwatch, the characters can also be customised with different skins and audio assuming you have enough credits. In fact, the game appears to be going the same route as Overwatch when it comes to cosmetics, items and loot boxes.

Instead of overloading the player with loads of abilities, each character comes with three abilities with cooldown as well as a standard weapon. The key to Pwnd is using your abilities and weapons in tandem to move around the map whether it’s rocket jumping or using another movement ability to capitlaise on the verticality. Pwnd is super fast and the matches are frantic because of the way in which the game’s point scoring system works.

To win a match, the team needs to reach 80 points and this is achieved by Pwning the opponents. When a player is killed they are not completely dead, they can be revived by teammates, crawl to a health pack, or be Pwnd by the attacking team. Pwning involves standing over the player and activating the Pwn key. When a Pwn is activated, an animation plays of you dancing over the fallen foe and there’s a countdown for the Pwn to complete which makes you a sitting duck to the rest of the enemy team. Being Pwnd is the ultimate humiliation and the animations and voice lines are great. Watching a small robot pelvic thrust over your sorry corpse is amusing.

DDRaceNetwork

Jump to search

DDNet, as it is popularly known, is a sidescrolling platform game, featuring weaponry and a cooperative gameplay, and is a mod of Teeworlds. The game name comes from Dummy Drag Race Network, as it was based in DDRace.

From the official website ddnet.tw:

DDraceNetwork (DDNet) is an actively maintained version of DDRace, a Teeworlds modification with a unique cooperative gameplay. Help each other play through custom maps with up to 64 players, compete against the best in international tournaments, design your own maps, or run your own server. The official servers are located in Germany, Russia, USA, Canada, China, Japan, Singapore, Chile, Brazil, South Africa and Australia. All ranks made on official servers are available worldwide and you can collect points!

You control a tee, a ball-shaped 2D character, using your keyboard and mouse to shoot, grapple hook and jump around to interact with other players and the environment in the map with the finish line as target.

The game works in a client–server model, where the user plays using a Client which connects to a local or remote Server. Since DDNet has official servers, you most likely will only start the Client and play online.

With the rapid explosion of players on Among Us, there are hundreds of thousands of new players.
If you want to learn how to play, this guide will teach you the basics and help get you started.

Even though Among Us has been out for quite a while, it seemingly exploded with popularity overnight. Most recently, the player count in Among Us even peaked higher than PUBG momentarily. With all these new players coming into the game, it might help to have a basic guide for how to play, and the answers to some of the questions many new players ask.
Among Us, how do I play the game?

The basic overview of Among Us is simple. A crew of 4-10 (usually 10) players are at a location doing tasks while 1-3 impostors (usually 2) are doing everything they can to sabotage their efforts and kill them all. The game ends in one of four ways.

All impostors are dead. (Crew Win)
All tasks are completed. (Crew Win)
There are an equal number of crew and impostors. (Impostor Win)
The crew fail to stop a catastrophic sabotage (Impostor Win)

Games can be longer or shorter based on the number of players, their skills, and the options selected by the play group. When a game starts, you will be assigned a role, either as crew or impostors, and your goals and how you achieve them will change based on that.

For that purpose, the crew and impostor sections will be separated.

Among Us, I got assigned Crew, what do I do?

Congratulations, you’re a member of the Among Us Crew. That means you’re out there to help repair this ship/station/colony. For every game as Crew, you’ll be assigned tasks listed in your task list. You can locate where to do these tasks on the map. Simply walk over to each location and complete the job. Some jobs are going to be harder than others, but you’ll eventually figure them out. Don’t be afraid to ask your fellow crewmates how to do some of your tasks if you have to, it’s all part of learning on the job.

Of course, there may be some impostors Among Us, so keep an eye out for suspicious activity. Impostors don’t do tasks, but they might fake it. You can keep an eye on the task list to keep track of every task that is completed, and if you think you see something suspicious, you can always call a meeting using the button on the table.

But most of the time, you might not see anything suspicious at all. If you end up alone with an impostor, you might find yourself becoming a ghost. Just because you’re dead doesn’t mean your job is finished though, so make sure to do your tasks and count on your crewmates to solve your death.
Among Us, I got assigned Impostor, what do I do?

Congratulations, you get to sabotage the Among Us Crew. That means you’ll be in charge of throwing a wrench into their operations, and making sure this job is anything but “business as usual.”

On your screen, you’ll see a list of tasks and their locations on the map, but these are just suggestions for things to fake and not your actual goal. Instead, you’ll want to try to find a way to isolate members of the Crew and kill them whenever you can. Of course, this won’t be easy, and you’ll have to be sneaky.

Fortunately there are a few crawlspaces for you to use, usually covered up by vent coverings. You’ll want to use your mobility to your advantage as you pick off the crew one by one.

But there are other things you can do as well. If you open your sabotage map you’ll see there are quite a few things you can do. You can lock doors to keep the crew stuck, or break the lights and limit their vision.

You can also sabotage their communications, preventing them from seeing their tasks. Additionally, you can sabotage the reactors, oxygen, or other vital pieces of equipment that will spell doom for everyone unless they’re fixed.
Among Us, a meeting was called, what do I do?

Meetings are the only times players have to talk with each other, making them an important part of Among Us. Meetings get called when a body is reported, or when someone presses the emergency meeting button.

If you’re the crew, use this opportunity to share information and interrogate suspects. If you're an impostor, use this time to throw off suspicion and sow chaos.

At each meeting, players can vote to execute one person, and if anyone has the most votes then they will be thrown out of an airlock/into a volcano.

If you don’t want to vote someone off, however, you can also vote to skip at the bottom. Use the meeting time wisely, as communication will be vital to helping the crew coordinate, and equally as important for impostors to disrupt.

among us is a horror game pic.twitter.com/HiPaWmwFWg— Disguised Toast (@DisguisedToast) September 13, 2020

Among Us, extra tips

A few final words about playing Among Us. If you’re playing on voice, please make sure that you limit your discussion to times when everyone is at the meeting, and that everyone in your Among Us game is on the same voice chat.

If you’re crew, try to provide as much information as possible during meetings. If you’re impostor, don’t be afraid to tell wild lies or to throw someone else under the bus.

Don’t get mad at other players just because they made a mistake, and don’t be afraid to call someone out for making the game a negative experience. It’s just a game, and nobody needs to get upset just because they lost.

Also, just because you’re a ghost doesn’t mean you’re done. If you’re crew, you still have tasks, and if you’re impostor, you can focus on sabotaging the remaining crew.

Fall Guys' Beginner's Guide on How to Play (and Win) the Game
10 August 2020, 6:00 pm EDT By Nhx T. Tech Times

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is the latest offering from Mediatonic and published by Devolver, and by the looks of it, it seems like the game will be the next big battle royale-style title to hit PC and consoles.

According to Polygon, the game has been incredibly huge since its launch that the game's servers are having a hard time accommodating the influx of players who want to experience the fun new game, which is available on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.

If you want to try the game out or you've been trying it lately, the ultimate goal is to be the last one standing, and as with any other battle royale game, you'll need a strategy to win.
But First, the Basics

Before anything else, you'll want to accustom yourself with the basics, so all you'll really need to work on is your strategy.
Master Your Jumps

In Fall Guys, you'll really need to master three things: jump, dive, and grab. The goal is to not fall to your death--and the first thing you need to master is the jump since it can either get you in trouble or save you.

You can start playing with either See Saw or Gate Crash as this allows you to practice your jumping, without actually dying and stopping the game. You just respawn on the last checkpoint, allowing you to gauge and master your jumps.

Learn how far you can jump as well as practice how fast you can do it.

In some instances, you'll have to time your jumps without missing a landing or losing your momentum, so practice all of that in various Fall Guys modes.

Work on Dives

When it comes to diving, the best mode to practice is the Fall Ball, as you'll have to hit a ball into the goal to earn a point for your team. You can easily earn points by diving into the ball headfirst.

Once you are more comfortable diving, you can try the Tail Tag mode where you need to dodge to avoid enemies so they can't grab you.
Why Grabbing Works

The last thing is to grab. You can use it to steal tails or just grab onto someone to avoid losing your momentum and falling down. Some ledges can pull you into higher ground, such as the case in Slime Climb.

Grabbing can be a challenge, especially with the races. However, you can practice your timing in the mode.

There'll be specific modes where you'll have to learn to grab onto things or people, such as in Hoarders or Egg Scramble.

How to Win Matches

In races, timing is everything. So once you feel more at ease with your jumping, diving, and grabbing skills, it's all about the momentum and trying your best to avoid obstacles, which are actually pretty straightforward.

In the mode Block Party, you can either run in the front of the pack to know where the blocks will be or stay in the middle or the back and follow where everybody else is going. But, you'll want to do the opposite in Hex-a-Gone.

However, in team games like Hoarders, cooperation is everything, so follow the leader and never act alone as you'll be an easy target for enemies to corner and divide from your team.

Fall Guys is now available on Steam and PS4.

Age of Empires online spielen - geht das?

How To Play Brawlhalla – Everything you need to know about this excellent fighting game

Brawlhalla is a platform fighting game, one that will feel very similar to Smash Bros if you’ve ever played it. Not only that, but it’s also free to play, and has been on nearly every platform you could possibly hope for. It’s for that reason that you might want to know how to play Brawlhalla. That’s why we’ve put together this little Brawlhalla guide, so you can find your way in this excellent fighting game.
How To Play Brawlhalla

Brawlhalla is a fighting game, which means you need to beat your opponents up and try to be the last one standing. However, rather than it being a traditional fighting game, one like Street Fighter, you need to knock your opponents off of the stage in order to win. You choose your character, then spend the match trying to stay on the stage while trying to knock the others off.

It’s pretty easy, and the controls work well on both keyboard and controller, so don’t worry about choosing one or the other, just choose your preferred option. There are a few different items that can appear during matches too, but you’ll learn that all as you go.
How To Get Better At Brawlhalla

Getting better at Brawlhalla is pretty much about practice. Sorry, there aren’t any shortcuts to success here, though there are a few things you can keep in mind as you’re playing. The best advice is to try and stick with a single character. You’re going to want to give them all a go at first, but once you find one you like, try not to play as anyone else. This will allow you to practice their moves specifically and will help you get better as a result.

Try to keep your combos as varied as possible, if you always do the same thing, then you become predictable and easy to punish. Also, practice edge-guarding, learning to knock an opponent down while in mid-air will really help, so practice your aerial game too.
How To Play Brawlhalla Cross-Platform

Brawlhalla is one of the rare games that allows cross-platform play. If you’re playing on PC, Xbox One, or Switch, you can play with your friends on the other platforms. If you’re on PS4, then you can be annoyed at Sony instead.

To do this, set up a custom online game and share the room with your friends, they can join you from there. It’s also automatic to a degree, with players automatically matchmaking when in online queues.
How To Add Friends on Brawlhalla

Brawlhalla can link up with your Steam account and you can add friends from there, which is nice and easy. If you meet people in-game that you want to add, you can do so by selecting their name after a match and sending them an invite.
How To Unlock Characters in Brawlhalla

Unlocking characters in Brawlhalla can be done by earning coins in the game and buying them through the store. You earn coins by completing challenges and even get some by simply logging in every day. If you’d rather have all of the characters right now, you can actually buy the All Legends Pack, from the Steam store. This will unlock all of the characters from now and any that are released from now on.

That’s it for this Brawlhalla guide, make sure to check out our other Brawlhalla guides to make sure your next brawl is a victory, especially our Brawlhalla weapons list.

You are faced with a toolbar to the left an right, file operations to the top, timeline on the bottom, and the 3D view in the center.
Blender's default starting mesh is a cube, we will be demonstrating basic functions on this.

First I want to make note of the arrows that appear when you select an object.
those are the Axes. The red arrow is the X axis, green is the Y axis, and blue is the Z axis.

These arrows allow you to move things more accurately.

Translating

There are three ways to do this, one is to simple right click and drag. Another is to just select the object and press "G"
Or, you can left click on the axis you want to move the object on, and drag.

Rotating

Rotating is very simple, all you have to do is select the object to be rotated, and press "R"
If you want to rotate around a specific axis, first press "R" then "X", "Y", or "Z". Each letter corresponds to it's respective axis.

If you add an object, such as a cube or sphere, it will appear where the 3D cursor is.
Step 6: Adding a Mesh
