The future of most of my favorite stealth franchises terrifies me. Will we ever see a proper Thief or MGS game again? When will the next Splinter Cell be released? What about Batman? Gone are some of the smaller runs like Death to Spies and Riddick. This is not the case with Hitman. I look forward to long healthy run with this platform.

One of the best stealth games of all time. If you consider yourself a huge pure stealth genre fan you should play this one despite the controversy around episodic release and DRM. It is truly the best of the series. And if you want to compare my value judgment I consider it to be on par with the other bests in the other major stealth franchises including Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, MGS 3: Snake Eater and Thief Deadly Shadows.

It gives the player enormous freedom in giant sandboxes with the right mix of experimentation and difficulty. Beautiful backdrops and immersive gameplay options and challenges. Assassinations feels good and has a ton of variety. Movement and sneaking is fluid. Combat and sniping is the right mix between Absolution and previous titles.

On the con side AI can be a little wacky at times and the world in some cases does have a sense of “waiting for you to show up” before doing anything. IO-Interactive is however at the time of this review (Jan 4th 2017) still patching and adding content so this could change. This is also the case with some of the performance issues including frame dips to 40 FPS on a very capable PC.

You will get tons of ongoing gameplay hours from this one. And even if you are not a hardcore stealth gamer I would recommend it. Heck even my 6 year old has fun completing some of the easier contracts I create for him.

Played a ton of Road Rash I & II when I was a kid and fair bit of 3D and 64 later on. The first incarnation of Road Redemption was a little weak, but each update has made it better and closer to the feel of the originals with the updated graphics and mechanics of more modern games.

I still long for a simple circuit style campaign but I like what they are doing because it is unique. I can't wait to play this game at its final release.

Have not played a basketball game since N64 - while this game is worlds apart, it is challenging, fun and addictive.
