Welcome to 'I don't know what the ♥♥♥♥ i'm doing desert' presented by 'confusion abyss.'

The tutorial is a walking tutorial so don't expect that to help you. Next try to learn everything yourself as NOTHING is explained.

Everything is cluttered. ♥♥♥♥ knows what any of the buttons do.

The game should be called "Character creation simulator" because that is the only thing going for it

Early Access Review
REALLY GOOD GAME. Great take on the survival genre, for example, the blood type feature makes it unique as well as the large variety of bosses. Worth the money considering its in early access. I like the building as well. Lots of cosmetic things to place and many skins for items. I like how raids can only occur between certain times, so chances to be offlined are a bit lower. The crafting system with the many different stations and floor types is really enjoyable.

My opinions for changes (I would love to see what everyone else thinks):

Raiding is a little unbalanced - Online raids are impossible whilst offline raids are a definite success, Stone golems need more health or a more offensive/defensive ability. Castles should be buffed when the owner is offline because a single golem can take out most of a castle. Often I see bases that place loot boxes in every bit of honeycomb, to store loot and trick raiders. This makes it annoying for both the owner and the raider.

More buff potions - Could be cool to have a potion that buffs attack speed for example, or hastens healing overtime, etc...

Cosmetic building schematics - Grinding for paper, scrolls and schematics is annoying and using them just to unlock a cosmetic building tech is the worst. Reducing the amount of cosmetic placeables in the study and athenaeum would be nice.

Making bat landing easier - Add a way to be able to see directly beneath the bat because spamming space bar and hoping you land is frustrating. Could also add an overlay to be able to view which surfaces the player can land on.

Equipment repairs should be cheaper - When you die in pvp you lose 15% durability from everything. This is quite expensive in the end game when certain materials are a grind to get.

Gold bars - Horrible to craft. Enemies should drop more golden chains.

Higher stack sizes for flowers

More unique base building locations - Most castles are built on the classic hill will a couple slopes which gets a bit boring to raid.

Conclusion:
Great game, had so much fun on the first playthrough and even ended up dominating an official server with loot for weeks. The flaws aren't game breaking especially considering the fact its in early access. I cant wait for new content and I will definitely play much more.
Here is another point I 100% agree with from another user (Lucifer):
"Ultimately, there's a lot to love about V Rising, and between it and 2021's Valheim, it's exciting to see creative new games come to the survival genre. With time and some updates, there's no doubt in my mind that V Rising could easily grow into one of the best PC survival games out there."

Early Access Review
Amazing! Graphics are different from the usual but GORGEOUS, a cross between Minecraft and realism.
The game has a large amount of content. It is somewhat grindy. It has a variety of bosses, a levelling system, crafting with hundreds of recipes, tonnes of enemies, tonnes of items and I will not forget the building system... It is GREAT! You have a huge variety of building options and materials to choose from, you can angle every tile allowing you to create even the most complex of buildings. You could spend hours upon just building *sigh*.
All this is set in a viking world which is procedurally generated with many biomes and more, so exploring is always fun. Don't forget that the map is MASSIVE.
If this is early access then I cant believe how good the finished game will be! It is 100% worth the money and one of the best games i have played in a very long time.

PS. Beware of falling trees

Received the game as a gift and it's brilliant. PVP and PVE is very polished and fun.
Barely any bugs however my ping is always high. Beautiful graphics and a good atmosphere. Very successful pirate game and arguably the best game to play with friends!

UPDATE: I have been playing the game for a long time now and here is what I make of it: you must play with friends otherwise it isn't as enjoyable (I wouldn't be able to spend 175 hours on it alone). Once you reach pirate legend the only reasonable way to get large amounts of money is through grinding events or FOTD whilst sailing with a grade 5 reapers (or any emissary) otherwise you will end up spending 4x the time trying to buy the new cosmetics such as the Dark Adventurer set which costs a total of 78 million gold!! The only progress is through cosmetics and there isn't really an "end game" as most things are accessible to you early on. I fixed the ping issue but the game is full of bugs (they happen too often)... bosses glitching into unreachable areas making them invincible, items and skeleton ships despawning randomly even after recent interaction, falling through terrain in some parts of the map etc. Apart from that I still enjoy playing it with my friends regularly. Oh and prepare to grind A LOT! at least for the new cosmetics.

Over 50 hours of story with huge amounts of content and side tasks! Beautiful graphics. Has one of the best stories out there (if not the best).

Lots of content for a 2D game so you will never get bored. Three difficulty types and 4 different classes with a huge variety of different equipment for each one, making every play through different. I highly recommend it.

Good Game (Posted: 18 Oct, 2017 @ 5:28pm, 620.1 hrs at review time)

The community deteriorates each year and it won't stop. My wish would be to erase any knowledge of this game and bring back the wasted time. Use your time wisely and do something that is actually beneficial to your life, unless you actually make money from the game.
IT'S NOT WORTH IT. (Posted: 2 Sep, 2021 @ 11:33pm, 2972.6 hrs at review time)
