Ok so with most online multiplayer games I'd say people tend to have very love-hate relationship but TF2 is universally loved. The game is so bloody enjoyable and I don't regret a single second spent playing it. It's a multiplayer game that still manages to make me laugh to this very day, it's so silly and fun yet so deep and skill expressive. It won't penalize you for not staying in an unfun match it and everything has some form of counterplay.
I mean it when I say that this game is a timeless masterpiece.
