After 50 hours this game has put me through every single emotion possible. The review below is mainly directed towards the ranked playlist.

I got placed plat 3 and climbed to Onyx with relative ease, I did so in the solo duo playlist. But there are some key flaws with the game. Below I'm listing what I personally think are things about the game that could be hammered out in a patch or two.

What needs work:

1. Melee needs to be more consistent, it seems myself and others I've spoken too agree that the melee just doesn't hit the way it should

2. At ranks like Diamond 6, you'd assume I'd be playing with onyx players and diamond players alike. But that isn't always the case. In back to back matches I got a plat 5 teammates who went incredibly negative and did not play the objective. The enemy team had two diamond 5's and two Onyx players, so I think the rank system may need some adjustment.

3. The customization, even though it's probably the last thing I care about, needs to be changed. I think its worth noting that charging $20 for a sticker and some AI ♥♥♥♥ is just not worth it. If you read any other reviews here on steam I think the community is in agreement.

4. I live in South East Asia and I keep getting minimum 90 ping games. This really only applies to the competitive playlist, because in other playlists my ping tends to be on the lower end (4-30 ping). I wonder if it has to do with my rank? But otherwise I really can't put my finger on why that is.

5. This game does not have an Anti-cheat. I don't even need to explain this.

What I've gone over is very brief and doesn't tackle a lot of the niche issues the game has. I STILL RECOMMEND this game however. It is incredibly fun and besides the competitive playlist, there are other modes like fiesta that can offer a good time. I think releasing a game nowadays that is completely polished is an unrealistic expectation so I'd say I'm not too disappointed by Halo infinite. Personally, I'm just going to wait for the comp playlist to be fixed before I go back in and begin grinding onxy elo.

KovaaK's is an amazing aim trainer! However, if you're not willing to pay the money AimLab is an equal good alternative.

I've spent a lifetime on this game and some days it feels worth it and other days I want to shoot to myself in the head. Overall, I have to admit that this game has brought me a lot of joy. The only real problem I have is that A. this game is super addicting and to stop, for me at least, was really hard. B. the content is drip-fed (this usually is the feeling after playing 200 hours +), To conclude, I'd play it only if you're prepared for the grind and the idea of being a space cowboy sounds enlightening. If you're a player that has grinded hard and doesn't really see a point in continuing just come back for the annual expansion, you'll get a month or two of an enjoyable experience out of the game.
