As someone who has played multiple hack & slash ARPGs, Last Epoch really nails it when it comes to skill diversity (due to skill trees existing on each skill), as well as the faction system.

The faction system might possibly be the best thing I've seen in an ARPG. You can join one of two factions and obtain reputation to level up your passives within it, as well as favor used to purchase/unlock various things within them. You're allowed to freely swap between the Factions and you will maintain your reputation with them. However, you will lose any of the Favor you earned with them, as this is a Faction specific currency.

The first faction, Circle of Fortune, is designed to go well with the whole "Solo Self Found" concept, but imo goes beyond that. I typically prefer the ability to buy/sell good items in games, but there's something about this faction that just makes it feel more enjoyable. Some items obtained in here are locked to Circle of Fortune, and will prevent you from equipping them if you swap factions, but I think that's a great idea for balancing. Seeing more loot dropping and being able to target farm specific kinds of items make the Circle of Fortune feel very good.

The second faction, Merchant's Guild, allows you to buy and sell items on a Marketplace type system with other players. Any items purchased on here will be locked to Merchant's Guild, and will only allow you to equip them when you are a part of it. The prices don't seem too crazy, and I'm sure a lot of people enjoy the ability to obtain exactly what they are looking for with the currency they have obtained while grinding.

Yes, there are server issues going on as of 4 days after launch, and it may make people look elsewhere for a game to play. I don't think this should be a cause for the awful treatment the developers are receiving when you can EASILY go do other things in the meantime.

Remember, the devs are human too. No need to be extremely toxic and rude to others.

People keep calling this Pokemon with guns, but honestly, the only thing that resembles Pokemon are the creatures themselves. Outside of this, this game has features comparable to Ark, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and even a dash of Genshin Impact (the catch power boosting method).

If you enjoy an open world survival type game and want to sprinkle in some Pokemon-esque creatures who can wield firearms, give it a shot. If you're unsure, you can always try it via Gamepass first even though that version is slightly behind in regards to patches and runs a little worse.

I've experienced no crashes, great performance, and an absurd amount of enjoyment with this game. I highly recommend giving it a shot if you are interested.

To be honest, I don't think there are enough words to describe this game.

I have tried various games that are similar to Baldur's Gate 3, yet somehow none of them managed to grab my attention like this one did. It's a fun yet sometimes difficult strategy game that magically evolves into a giant cluster of chaotic fun if you play with even just a single friend. Every time you think you know what's going to happen, the game decides to prove you wrong and just flip all your plans upside down.

If these kinds of games are of your interest, I highly recommend checking this game out. It is absolutely worth the full price.

The last time I purchased a game and it hooked me this badly, it was Elden Ring. I went into this game expecting at least something decent, as this is a major universe to attempt something so big in... and boy was I surprised. I spent hours on this game that went by in the blink of an eye. I saw how many hours I had on day 1 of early access and was surprised to see 4hrs+ and I hadn't even left Hogwarts for the first time.

If you enjoy the Harry Potter world, a general fantasy setting with magic, or even just an open world rpg, definitely keep an eye on this one.

I've always wanted to get into a souls-like game, but I could never manage to stick with it. However, that changed with Elden Ring.

Not only does this game frustrate me endlessly, it also brings me so much enjoyment that it balances out. Between the visuals and the music, I don't know which I would say is better.

If you enjoy souls-like games or have wanted to get into these kinds of games, I highly recommend giving Elden Ring a chance. Absolutely fantastic game so far.

Disclaimer: I am a backer of this game and I have played the alpha.

This game is the perfect replacement for Pokémon on PC. Sure the launch had a rough first day but don't let that keep you away from it.

Some of the biggest changes compared to Pokémon are the fact that it is a always double battles, an mmo so you can play with friends, and the battle system doesn't use PP. Instead, it uses a stamina type system where each move costs stamina. You can use more than you have but you will hurt yourself with recoil.

On a different note, the art style is fairly unique. The character models are a bit odd at times but the TemTem look nice. The music is also quite enjoyable.

In the end this game is definitely worth it and I'm looking forward to the future of it.

I've always had the interest in Roguelike games as well as Hack'n'Slash, but I could never get into them for some reason. Perhaps it was the screen clutter or constant feeling of stress that came with these kinds of games, but that said..

Hades is absolutely fantastic! The combat, the visuals, and the music are all incredible. Even the small bits of voiced parts are well done. Supergiant Games has struck gold once again and I hope they continue to make fantastic games.

This game has gone through quite the journey. Started off pretty good, then started to become boring with nothing fun happening. However, since Bungie has escaped Activision's greedy paws, they have begun to turn the game around and make it what it should be; a fun loot shooter to play with friends and randoms.

With this free-to-play update, I highly recommend at least giving this game a try. It is absolutely worth your time and is a great time killer as well. There's a decent learning curve for different game mechanics but it's nothing to stress out over.

Don't forget to check out LFG discords as well as the corresponding subreddits for more info on the game.

Pretty good action rpg, especially if you enjoy Diablo. Unique abilities, characters, and monsters lead to fun gameplay with a pretty good environment to boot.
